Hello Stacy, Good morning,

Thank you for your patience,
How does it FEEL to SEE no "apple" and no "self? "
Now that I look at an apple immediately the word apple pops up in my head. If I keep looking
at the apple slowly the words stops coming up and I feel relaxed it is kind of like
a meditation. Similarly when I look at the present experience and try to find self I
cannot find anything and in the process I feel calm and relaxed the more I look.

Good morning!
feel calm and relaxed the more I look.
Good! That's exactly what you want to practice until you SEE.

Let's do the only pointer I was given here. I call it ButtChair.

Please LOOK for any place where your butt ends & the chair begins.

Is there any clear dividing line between them? Or only the Sensation with no clear division?

I did this for 3 months before I SAW no self here.

Loving,

Hello Stacy, Good evening,
Is there any clear dividing line between them? Or only the Sensation with no clear division?
Only sensations and my interpretation of the sensations signifying division between my body and
the chair. It is similar to looking at apple, whenever I look at it the word apple comes up similarly
whenever the sensation of my butt comes up so does the interpretation of some division.

Yes.

How does it FEEL to SEE no division? ?

The shift to seeing no self is much like seeing those optical illusions that can be 2 different pictures. Such as old woman/ young woman or candlestick/ faces.

Or seeing that Santa Claus is just a man in a red suit.

Can you see that there is no self?

Hello Stacy, Good evening,

How does it FEEL to SEE no division?
I tried the same exercise today I tired to look for a division at first there were a lot of thoughts
and emotions arising then after some time the thoughts and emotions slowed down. I could feel the
sensations of my body touching the ground(I was sitting on the ground today). I could not find any division
but the thought or interpretation of division still accompanied the sensations just like the interpretation
that the sensations are coming from below somewhere.

Can you see that there is no self?
I could not find any self just thoughts and interpretations

Good morning!

Now that you see through this thought illusion, does it matter? A thought came up - So what! Thoughts don't stop noisy of the time. We just see through them. Nothing there we can believe.
Can you see that there is no self?
I could not find any self just thoughts and interpretations
Excellent!

How does it FEEL to SEE this?

Can you give a big, fat YES that there is no self & never has been?

Good morning,

That sounds wonderful! Is there anything left to seek?

Seeing no self is a beginning. Now you'll question any related beliefs that were based on this false idea of a "self."

We have some traditional "final" questions. Once you've answered these clearly, they will be shared with other guides who may have questions. Ready?

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.

Describe intention & give examples from experience.

Describe free will & give examples from experience.

Describe choice & give examples from experience.

Describe control & give examples from experience.

What makes things happen? How does it work?

What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

6) Anything to add?

Much love

~ Stacy

Hello Stacy, Good evening,
Is there anything left to seek?
No. Just enjoy the experience.
Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
There is no self. There never was. It is just stories and lies which are considered to be as truth which
makes this self.
Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
The illusion of separate self is caused by thoughts and believing there is someone under control of
the experience and the actions being performed. It starts when there is a belief that something other than the
direct experience is the reality. Then one thought leads to other and it becomes endless train of thoughts.
For me the mind is trying to protect the 'I' and keeps making stories which feels like truth.
How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
For me there are thoughts which say that if there is no one in control life will be very very difficult to live and then
there are a lot of contractions but when attention is placed on the direct experience and seeing the truth it feels lighter
and the contractions start to ease up. The main difference is that I am able to question my own believes and
the stories that come up. Now I understand what "Truth will set you free means".
What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
I do not understand this question.
Describe decision/free will/choice/control & give examples from experience.
The main insight I got about control and free will was when I did the palm up and down exercise.
When I paid attention to my hand moving up and down and I was looking for the thought or emotion or
anything in my head which was ordering the palm to face up or down and what is dictating the pace
of it I could not find anything. There were thoughts but they were not related to control of the hand.
It was as if it was moving on its own. There is sometimes awareness of the choice sometimes there is not.
From this I realized the there is no self that is controlling actions but the mind is doing it on its own.
So how can there be free will or choice if we do not even know what thought will pop in our head
next.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
Mind does it. I do not know how it works.
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Nothing. Just noticing whatever is coming up. In all the pointers there is one thing in common we
just notice the direct experience(we look at the socks).
6) Anything to add?
I still get caught up in the lies which mind tells every now and then. What if this contraction is caused by fear which
is true. Is one thing that keeps coming up and I get sucked into it trying to solve it get rid of it.
It takes up my mental energy.
I felt very confident after the lie and control pointer. I felt like there is nothing
to be afraid of. But it lasted only a couple of days after which I felt miserable trying to get back the
confidence I had gained. Trying to control and solve to a point where I couldn't even focus in the present
moment at my work or any conversation I am having. But today afternoon I just gave up. And slowly I
started to relax then a sudden shift happened. I had experienced that truth feels expanding and lies
feels contracting. So if it is true why should importance be given to the thoughts which cause contractions.
So now there is less resistance to any kind of thought. Which feels relaxing.

Good morning!

Good!

Let's take care of any lingering lies.
For me the mind is trying to protect the 'I' and keeps making stories which feels like truth.
Where is there any "I" that needs any protection? Does "I" exist? If not. how could it need "protection? "
What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
I do not understand this question.
For many people there's a clear moment when they suddenly see the truth & drop the lie of a "self." For some, it's more gradual.

You had a clear shift before & you also had this one:
But today afternoon I just gave up. And slowly I
started to relax then a sudden shift happened. I had experienced that truth feels expanding and lies feels contracting. So if it is true why should importance be given to the thoughts which cause contractions.
So now there is less resistance to any kind of thought. Which feels relaxing.
What if this contraction is caused by fear which
is true.
Most fear is made up. It is just lies & stories. Once in a while, fear does serve the only purpose it has, which is to alert us to danger to the body & give us energy to take action to stay alive. If you are ever in physical danger, fear will do its job. But if it's only a story in your head why would you need that?

What makes things happen? How does it work?
Mind does it. I do not know how it works.
No. How, exactly, does "mind" do anything?

Your second statement - feel that - doesn't it feel open, truer? The truth is we don't know how anything works. We never will. It's like palm flipping.

Everything just happens. You've said this yourself! Can you see this clearly now?

Answer each of these clearly. Take your time. We want you to be completely clear.

Loving,

There is no I. It is just stories.

Yes it does.
Can you see this clearly now?
One thing is clear to me now(please correct me if I am wrong) that thoughts are not real or do not accurately depict the reality.
But there is an assumption or false belief that whatever thought is arising is real and we focus our attention to the thought which leads to another thought and it is an endless cycle, instead of paying attention to what is happening in the
present moment which is real. So if thoughts are not real how can the self, which is just a product of
thoughts, be real.

All true. Remember Colored Socks? Are you thinking these answers or can you SEE that there’s no self?

How does it FEEL to SEE?

Hello Stacy, Good evening,
All true. Remember Colored Socks? Are you thinking these answers or can you SEE that there’s no self?
These were just thoughts that came up in my head all of a sudden while I was working. In my mind there is
a belief now that there is no self as I could not locate it any where in my experience. Whenever I look it feels
relaxing.
How does it FEEL to SEE?
It feels relaxing.

It's okay to start with a belief "in your mind," but that isn't SEEING there's no self.

But that "relaxing" when you LOOK probably is SEEING.

Have I shared that the shift we're looking for is like SEEING that Santa Claus is just a man in a red suit?

Or like this old woman/ young woman? Once you've SEEN both you can't un-see them.

https://images.app.goo.gl/nmQLKKjYkj75ew1d9
Can you describe more fully this "relaxation" when you LOOK. please?
