Good morning Soph, i have been watching the videos of the 2 zoom meetups. (I'm about an hour into each so far) It's really interesting & a little amazing the different perspectives between the forum and the visual/audible.
i had resisted guiding by zoom (except for these meetups) up till now as I believed the forum allowed time for things to sink in. To be reread. To be able to consider, to reflect before responding. i thought that the immediacy of face to face meant that an important sentence could pass without impact.
Your somewhat unfiltered introduction in the Saturday meeting showed me that there is great value in this kind of interaction. That both together would be more impactful.
With this in mind, I'm thinking to organize a meetup with all of the ones that I'm guiding at the moment. Almost all of you have one foot through the gate, and a final push would do it.
Trying to find a time when the different time zones can coincide is the difficult part.
i will put it to the others and come back to you on this.
Do you know if it will mess up this thread if I change the subject? A thought is here to do so….
I don't know if you are able to, but give it a try and see what happens.
I’ve found that speaking the thoughts can activate or allow a movement or shift in the connection to/with the thought. Stickiness can be released by hearing the thoughts…
Yes. i think that the effort to find words to describe enables something to happen.
A question has come up about tiredness and hormones; these two variables seemingly contribute to being hypnotised by thoughts more, especially the I-thought and stories around it… when I’ve had just a bit of sleep i used to describe it as crazy mind, but know it’s just thoughts now…
What is happening in this?
Yes, absolutely. When we are tired or physically exhausted the mind works differently. The expression becomes much less constrained or filtered.
What is tired… I know there’s no subject or object…
..but there is the experiencing (tiredness)
Or is this just more thoughts about thoughts and I’m best simply seeing, hearing, feeling and embracing? :)
My thoughts are (ha) that thinking is like watching the news on tv. Different channels will give a different take on the same subject or focus on different things. None are actual. In the same way different people are conditioned with different emphasis. All is perspective. So a useful generalization is that all thoughts are fake news. Experiencing is actual so if thoughts are creating suffering then focus on the body. On experiencing.
with love
