Hi Dyann,

I have to go out of town. I will not always have access to a computer. I will be back on Monday.
I will try and post and find a computer if possible.

Can you actually find a hearer or is there just hearing?
I think the hearer is something beyond or greater than Me.

Can you find an "I" that thinks?

A hear-er implies some "one" --- in your direct experience can you find a hear-er OR is there just hearing? Please actually look in your direct experience to provide this answer NOT in your intellect.

Can you find a "me" or "something greater" in direct experience OR is there just hearing?

Thanks Jay!

It feels like it is inside my head.

It feels like it is going inside my ears and it is inside my head and body

The me is this big spacious area behind me. Now it seems like the big spaciousness behind me is hearing

It feels like it is inside my head.
I understand that may be what it feels like BUT can you actually FIND (literally) an "I"?

Thank you, Dyann

Hi Dyann,

I responded and posted a couple of days ago to your last email.

So, let me know if there is anything else I should do?

If you are busy. I will just wait to hear from you.

Thanks!
J

Thank you Jay,

Okay lets investigate The self as the Doer / Controller...

Is there a self that controls breathing?
that walks? that does daily activities?

Please do this interactive exercise...

"get up… walk slowly…
is there a controller that controls walking?
or
is there just walking?"

Love, Dyann

Breathing just happens on it own.

Yes, I seem to walk. I seem to do daily activities.

is there just walking?"
It seems like I am controlling the walking

Hi James,

Yes, I seem to walk. I seem to do daily activities.
Please LOOK and see if you can actually find this "I" that seems to walk. Please speak from your direct experience not from what seems to be happening - we want to know precisely what you find or not.
It seems like I am controlling the walking
Again - no guessing please....no what it feels or seems like ---- literally LOOK --- is there an "I" that is in control of walking -- can you actually find the "I"? Or is there just walking?

Thank you, Dyann

No I cannot find the I now.

?

It seems like there is just walking or something outside of me is causing the walking.

I had some questions about nonduality can I ask them to you?

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay,

Which is it? Just walking?
OR --- can you actually find something outside of you that is causing the walking? Really? What would that be?

Sure.

It was just walking

can you actually find something outside of you that is causing the walking? Really? What would that be?
I can't find something outside of me causing the walking.

So, I will have to ask you a question. What is causing the walking.

Can walking just occur? is awarness or God doing it?

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay Jay - thank you!!

Actually this will work best if I ask you the questions, lol! For now it will only matter that you know there is not someONE walking....just walking. This is me guiding you in a self inquiry to see through the illusion of a separate self -- so please forgive me for saying you could ask me questions and be patient --- there is aftercare where all questions may be asked and discussed. Thank you!

Let's carry on.... you are doing very well!

Lets take a look at the 'self' as the Chooser...
Please describe from direct experience the process of how your 'self' makes a choice, and the difference between a choice and what is running on automatic. Please see if you can find the “Choicepoint”: a magical place where the apparent “Self” can choose between this and that: choose either coffee or tea,, then sit and see if you can find the choice-point where you could go either way. Describe how choosing happens.”

Best, Dyann

When I make a choice like what time to set my alarm. I consider the time it is in evening. I like to get 8 hours sleep so I set it 8 hours ahead of when I go to bed unless I have to do something early.

What is running on automatic is stuff like breathing or my digestive system. So, that is automatic. The choice I make with my reasoning.

Well, let's say I'm having lunch and I'm trying to decide to have a diet coke or water. I think about it. See what i'm in mood for and choose.

I make my choice inside my head.

I didn't understand about the part about choice point where you can go either way. Can you give me a little more explanation on that question and perhaps re-phrase it.

Thanks,

Jay
