Lets take a look at the 'self' as the Chooser...
Please describe from direct experience the process of how your 'self' makes a choice, and the difference between a choice and what is running on automatic. Please see if you can find the “Choicepoint”: a magical place where the apparent “Self” can choose between this and that: choose either coffee or tea,, then sit and see if you can find the choice-point where you could go either way. Describe how choosing happens.”

When I make a choice like what time to set my alarm. I consider the time it is in evening. I like to get 8 hours sleep so I set it 8 hours ahead of when I go to bed unless I have to do something early.
What is running on automatic is stuff like breathing or my digestive system. So, that is automatic. The choice I make with my reasoning.

Well, let's say I'm having lunch and I'm trying to decide to have a diet coke or water. I think about it. See what i'm in mood for and choose.
I make my choice inside my head.
I didn't understand about the part about choice point where you can go either way. Can you give me a little more explanation on that question and perhaps re-phrase it.
Thanks,
Jay
