Thanks for the encouraging words Nina, think I have a way to go before I've nailed it though.
How would you describe it to somebody who has never heard about this illusion but is curious about it.
Imagine how you'd feel if you woke up one day without any baggage? You remember the story & the pain but it's no big deal, like it belonged to someone else.
What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look? was it gradual or more sudden?
I'd say gradual but there was a distinct "moment" of conviction rather than an intellectual figuring out if you will.
Describe the difference before seeing, at the moment of seeing, and after seeing? describe the key differences.
Before seeing I'd read enough to agree with the concept of no self. At the moment of seeing & afterwards, I guess there was a calmness, a clarity & a surrender. I suppose I was expecting fireworks & a brass band but instead I just felt a peaceful recognition.
In what ways has Seeing changed 'your' life? what impact will this have on your life?
Life carries on I guess with a broader perspective & a feeling of optimism. I don't think I'm anywhere near done with this process. I feel a childlike excitement at what will unfold next.
Now that you see that 'you', the first person character at the core of life, isn't, what do you see when you see 'others'? explain in your own words from your direct experience.
When I see others I see Me in a different form. Without the stories & labels life expressing itself.
When I look at my answers I'm sure it's from the heart but a nagging little voice says "You're bluffing, that's just stuff you've read in books" Mr Ego trying to hang on maybe?
