I have noticed that language is the way that time and thought is expressed. The words used are tied to emotions and desires. Also, since the language is shared with other people, my thoughts are their thoughts. Someone can say table and everyone in the room has the same thought. Language is how thoughts are controlled.

I say all that to say this, what I wanted in inquiry was understanding. Understanding of reality, God, the self, etc. But to understand is through language. Language uses sound to create thought. Thought, language, understanding, and control are all conspiring to form the illusion of life as I know it. Life outside of language is entirely unknown.

You’re right, thank you for bringing me back to direct experience. As I look at the moving hand, it moves its own movements. It can stop or start at anytime. My mind gets lost in thought, but the hand still moves.
