Hi Sandra,
And why do you think that every time you look and can't find a self isn't already seeing from that perspective?
What more is needed?
A teeny tiny aha moment will do

regards Dianne

Hi Dianne,

Some people see this right away and others need more time.
For some it's necessary more than one thread in the forum and to speak with more than one guide.
And that's OK :)

I also enjoy chatting with you and what I want for you is that you see this without a doubt.
What do you mean with 'This must end'? I hope you're not thinking in giving up!
I don't mind if we go to page 120 or if you think other guide would be a good idea.
I can see you're giving very clear answers and that means you're already looking at the truth.
What are you thinking to do?

Love,
Sandra

No will never give up. This must end was just a joking rant at myself.

No, I'm not looking for another guide I am very happy with your guidance Sandra.

I was just laughing at myself really. Possibly frustrated with myself as well but mostly joking. Happy to keep going with you until I see this if that's ok with you Sandra.
I notice also with my answers they are very clear like there could be no other answer so will happily keep going until I'm done.

regards
Dianne

Hi Dianne,

Uf, glad to know that you will keep looking. I thought your post was very funny and then I thought 'Is she going to give up now??? Hell, Nooooooooo!!!!' :)
And why do you think that every time you look and can't find a self isn't already seeing from that perspective?

A teeny tiny aha moment will do
Use your imagination this time and describe how this would be like, this 'tiny aha moment'.
I'm curious about what you expect this to be :)

Love,
Sandra

I thought I would look at what I did throughout the day today and see what would be different if I was aware I was seeing through the illusion. Like before enlightenment chop wood, carry water after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. So as I took fronds and sticks down the back for my husband to burn there was nothing about Dianne that would be different there is no different way she would have taken the fronds down the back. When I went shopping the same nothing different for Dianne. So seeing through the illusion would be the same as it is but maybe a broader outlook which would include Dianne as part of what was being done. Less identifying as Dianne and more Dianne recognized in the play of the yard being cleaned up along with my husband, the trees, the fire. I think just an opening up to the bigger picture. I'm not sure I'm putting this right because my husband is so much more important to me than the trees and the fire.

Bye for now
Dianne

Hi Dianne,
Like before enlightenment chop wood, carry water after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.
If you can only experience the now, now, now, now, are you expecting to reach a future enlightenment?
I think just an opening up to the bigger picture.
Hmmm... what would this bigger picture be? And what can you see here that can open to it?

I've been thinking in asking you to look for the evidence of the existence of 'selfs' outside the scope of Dianne :)

For example, what can you see in your husband that is a separate self? Does he have a 'him' inside the body, thinking thoughts, controlling movements, making decisions? When you're looking at him, do you see that he is separated from life in any way?

When you are in the street and see people passing by you where can you see the 'self' in them?
It's in their heads, in their hearts, where do you think it is exactly?
Are they being controlled by a entity inside them?
Are they life or are they separated from life?

Love,
Sandra

I don't feel I am experiencing enlightenment in this moment.

Its hard to not see him as choosing his thoughts and choosing his movements and making decisions as he is a thinker he likes to think through problems and come up with solutions in his job. A lot of people look to him for answers so its hard to imagine those answers are not thought up by him. It seems he puts time and effort into thinking. But I guess like me those thoughts just come and movements and sensations just happen as life lives from his perspective.

They seem like separate entities when I walk past them but when you ask is it an entity inside their head doing things for them it doesn't seem right. Thoughts would be happening and life would be happening and they would be lived as I am.

Bye for now

Hi Dianne,

You're not looking, you're thinking.
If looking to others feels confusing, look to your body in a full length mirror.
Where is Dianne in the body?

Are you afraid of what can happen if you look and see that there is no you, no Dianne?

Love,
Sandra

In the mirror I can't see where I could be.
Are you afraid of what can happen if you look and see that there is no you, no Dianne?
No that is not something that would worry me.

Hi Dianne,

If you're not in the body, where are you?
What makes you believe that Dianne exists as a real, separate, permanent, objective self?
Make a list and we will look through it :)

Love,
Sandra

I'm not too sure where Dianne is. She is there with responsibilities, likes and dislikes, preferences, tasks to do, plans to make, (all thoughts).
She's a mother, a wife, a friend.

Bye for now,
Dianne

Hi Dianne,
I'm not too sure where Dianne is.
Maybe because she isn't?
She is there with responsibilities, likes and dislikes, preferences, tasks to do, plans to make, (all thoughts).
Does this mean that you are what you think you are?
Can you find responsibilities, likes and dislikes, preferences, tasks to do, plans to make if you go looking for them?
Maybe they aren't real also. Maybe they only exist as thoughts, beliefs, concepts, stories, ingrained habits.
She's a mother, a wife, a friend.
You're attaching a label to a character.
Are labels, concepts needed to live life?
When you're looking to the screen are you a watcher?
When you're writing are you a writer?
When you're alone, what makes you belief that you are a mother, a wife, a friend?
Without these labels attached to a 'you', what would this 'you' be?

Love,
Sandra

Just sitting happening, walking happening, seeing happening, patting dog happening, drinking tea happening. Whatever is happening in the moment.

Hi Dianne,

:)

What shall I ask you next?
Talk with me. Where are you stuck? And what is clear now?
