Good.
Use it with your last reply.
Post it again & then we'll continue.

To make sure I understand the quote function, I highlight the question and select “quote” above my reply and this serves to highlight the quoted text as a question? Your response seemed to imply that you thought I was avoiding wanting to use the function and I simply wasn’t getting anywhere with the link you provided. So I wasn’t accessing guidance on how to do what you were requesting by using the link.
If you would like I can do a test run.
How did I do?

As you can see, that was right.
Now, please repost your last reply.

How will life change?
I doubt that life will change, if you mean the everyday circumstances of life, the ups and downs, etc.
How will you change?
Here’s where my ego gets involved and wants an eternal, heavenly shift in perspective with peace, subtle bliss, presence being the ongoing nature of my realized reality. I see a shift in realized beings that seems to manifest this so it’s understandable that my ego wants that.
What will be different?
The main difference will be the lack of sense of self at the center of everything with its related story that contributes to so much suffering - I need more of this and less of that; why did they treat me that way?; how can I feel better about myself?
What is missing?
Too much egocentric mental chatter and ego-centered behavior robs me of peace and presence.

Good. That was about following instructions & staying out of what people call "ego."
Now...
This is how to LOOK for no self in the exercises - we call them "pointers' - that we will be doing here:
Colored Socks
There is a big difference between knowing that there is nothing to give up and seeing that there is nothing to give up.
Here is an example to illustrate the difference:
If I ask you what color socks you are wearing right now you have two ways to come up with an answer:
• You can think about it, you can think back to this morning and try to remember putting your socks on, and you can probably tell me what color you think they are.
• Alternatively, you can take a quick look at your socks and tell me what color they actually are!
Hopefully you would agree that you can only be 100% certain by looking.
For the purpose of seeing this "no self" idea, it is very important that you are clear about this difference.
Knowing is about knowledge which is all in the mind and we are not interested in that
We are only interested in looking at and seeing what is actually going on in your present moment-to-moment experience. We are only interested in your Direct Experience in the moment..
Direct or Actual Experience is
Seeing
Hearing
Feeling (Sensation, not emotion. Emotion is Sensation plus made-up thoughts & labels)
Tasting
Smelling
Thoughts Arising (but not their content)
Please let me know if you are clear about this or if you would like any further clarification.

I watched a video with Helen Hamilton orienting attention to consciousness repeatedly in contrast with an object of consciousness. I experienced a sense of being a boundless field of consciousness for 5-10 minutes before falling asleep. Today I was periodically able to shift focus back to consciousness which creates a kind of reasonably comfortable disorientation. Very different experience than in the past with self-enquiry.

Hi
I have no idea who Helen Hamilton is. That's nice, but you were asked to stop all other methods while you're working with our pointers here. You can always go back to those.
You didn't respond to the question in the last post.
if you aren't going to follow guidance given here, I will stop & you can wait for another guide to offer to help.
If this Helen Hamilton video is what you're looking for, by all means, do that instead.
Thank you
Thank you

I somehow missed that we needed to stop all other practices while working with you. I did read your last email about colored socks and it does make sense.
BTW, you manifest harshness at times that isn’t necessary or helpful. My challenge with the quote function was not due to ego as you assumed and I was not pursuing guidance from a teacher outside this tradition because I was intentionally violating LU rules.
You make assumptions and then criticize when asking questions to clarify would be a wiser and more caring approach. This seems to be an aspect of your character so I would like a different guide.

Lubo,
Thank you for reaching out. I simply wanted a new guide because Stacy wasn’t working for me. If you have access to our email thread, you can see why I wasn’t satisfied with her approach to guidance. Shaming isn’t the best motivator for me.
Thanks again,
Lubo

We are all innocent.
And yes, you have the right to choose the guide.
What you are looking for precisely here in the forum?
Notice your experience right now, what you want to change?
Love,
Lubo

What I would prefer in this moment is to stay focused on consciousness (the ground of being) rather than on mental chatter. When my eyes are open and I’m engaged in a task, I can get caught up in the objects of consciousness and lose connection with the infinite field of consciousness.

Ok.
consciousness (the ground of being)
Let's put a side all knowing and understanding and to dive in us, are you OK with that?
I can get caught up in the objects
Let's change our focus from objects to us. Something like " I can get caught up in me"
Feel the feeling of going back home.
How do you feel to be the home itself?
use your own words to describe your experience.
No need to use someone's words.
No need to perform, you are not her to entertain or to prove anything to me or anyone else.
I love you unconditionally!
Lubo
