Its hard to get my teeth on that question

It feels like appearance and gone, like a micro tingling
But there is also a flavour of continuity, more difuse, cloudlike,

Ok, please keep your eye on that "continuity," keep observing, and report what came up.

There seems to be nothing that is continuous.
There is an openness in seeing this,

Its dynamic, everything is just appearing,
The question is if there is an owner of attention,
I can only find that what is being attended

Who is that "I" that finds it?

"I" is a usefull word, a way to point quite unspecifically to this whole process....
There is no more to it than that...

Hi Santino. :) As we talked online the other day, please give it a try to answer the final set of
questions.

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over; made you look?

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen?

How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

6) Anything to add?

Enjoy!

Hi Kento!!

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
No.
Hah, thats why it couldnt be found.

At first it was like... ok, if I just knew what a self is, then maybe I could find it.
There it is.
There is nothing that the label "I" is pointing to.

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

The illusion is that there is a central character. There is only a story ABOUT a character, all the way long. The illusion is that the story is refering to something that is there. There is only the history appearing, it has an "I" in it, but it does not refer to someone that is there.
It might have started whenever this language started. It has to do with the referencing. So words "point to" things. Apparently. Actually, there is only language emerging, is itself an experience. When it appears as if its pointing to something outside it, then it can appear than the thought "I" is pointing to something, a central thing, maybe to another thought. The reason its so sneaky to try to explore what it is its because the only thing that is in experience is the referent, and never whats refered to, if that makes sense.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
Some lightness,
All is okay in a quite simple way.

I could say that there is no difference, but there is something different at the same time.
Experience is a bit more raw, more absorption, less really "buying into" stories.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over; made you look?
To try to find the one that was trying to find.
Nothing was pushed over.

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen?

How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

Things just happen. Meaning, in direct experience there is just happening. Movement.
Going a bit more conventional like, I could say everything is making everything happen.
Regarding the body and mind... Like right now the gaze goes up and finds the window, and the thinking goes "I should open the window" and then the window gets open or not, so it was the sight that made that particular thought arise.
Nothing is arising from a center that is separate from experience.
It does not make sense to even try to explain it.

Im not responsible for anything, while there are still values installed in this thing that will make it act one way or another. Its just conditioning manifesting.
"I" is not out of experience somehow interacting with it. "I", is a thought that appears from time to time. Senses are going on. To say "senses" is even too much. Experience is.
As for action from this body, thoughts would appear, for example, going to have a glass of water, a difuse coment and image like thought. Then a sensation is felt inside, like an urge to move. Then the body is moving and grabbing a cup and serving water. "I" did not make any of those processes appear. "I" was a content in one thought, and not even a super specific content, there was an image thought of a body holding a cup with water, wich gave rise to going for it.

6) Anything to add?

Just thank you so much Kento,
The video meetings were really powerfull, every time you guide me to this silent awe space, it was fun to notice the difference quite strong between before and after our video meetings.
Enjoy!

Hi Santino. :) I've posted a link to this thread for my fellow guides to have a look and
see if there are any questions to be asked.

Please wait for a while.

Warm wishes,

Kento
