Often times their is to many emotions going on in us to have peace, the degree of space Im talking about is awareness or stillness that cuts threw that like when you meditate. The mind being in conflict is a cornerstone for awareness to grow because without awareness we react out of emotions that really need healing to become still. All this zen non dual stuff is that and the only remedy is sitting with these uncomfortable feelings to heal them and inquiring into our truth as living beings. So how long have you done this spiritual stuff for and what brought you here?

I’ve been doing self-enquiry as Ramana Maharishi thought for around 10 years.
What brought me here was a book about the 10 fetters I read and the first fetter was about seeing through the no-self.
That sounds exactly as the question who am I? from Ramana.
But what I’m really looking for is liberation from suffering; and realizing the non self looks the way.
Thank you for your pointers.

No problem, so Ramana spent his life poundering and abiding as his presence or what he called the self,, where would you have to go to live in your presence? Can you live in the past or future? Im not talking about memorys or imaginings.

No, I can’t live in the past or the future.

So, if I have understood you right, is it just a matter of the time spent abiding in presence?
Is it all about being present?

Yes it is, bad or for worse because things we face will fall away its the seeing and feeling fully that takes the batterys out of negative repeating thought pattarns and leaves stillness in its place, everyone wants stillness first but it doesn't work that way. Awareness is the medicine. Abiding as the self means being with unwanted things in you otherwise you are not really abiding. But the self will always remain regardless of place and time feeling or unfeeling but you have to recognize this as a fact about yourself and its as easy as feeling what you're going threw right now. What happens to you when you listion that deeply to your own self

Although I’m trying to stay with uncomfortable feelings more often, they are there all the time. It seems endless and it is exhausting.
Do they ever end?

Thank you.

When I started out learning here I wanted to be rid of my inner pain but they never touch on pain here only the non dual approuch to life. That approuch of living with all thoughts and emotions (finding no self)is what in the end helped me to be free of inner pain because something happens when we are awake to them, they become dealt with and drop away. we have emotional layers set up so we dont see that we are always present to what "is". yes their can be allot of things to unbottle. My question is are you thought and emotions? and if so how does that work?

Hi, thank you for your pointers.
They are really helpful.
I know intellectually that I am not my thoughts and feelings but I’m still identified with them.
I’m staying with uncomfortable feelings longer than before but maybe it’s not enough because pain is always there and sometimes I run away from it.
Is this sitting with uncomfortable feelings the only practice you would recommend?

Thank you again for your time.

Who is doing the feeling? Feeling and awareness is essential to this realization. Can you find something feeling though?

There’s feeling though; very uncomfortable.
I’m still identified with the I.
Even though I do self enquiry, seeing through the self is not happening.

Ask yourself who is looking for the "I"? What makes it up? Take time for this question.

Hi,
I’ve been doing this practice, looking for the I; not results.
The truth is that I have fallen in a dark depression.
The uncomfortable feelings and the suffering have increased.
Im wondering if maybe I need a srink instead of a guide.
I really resonate with what you point out but I’m feeling worse than before.

Anyway, thank you very much for being there.
I really appreciate it.

If you can get help do it they are friends to feeling emotions and can get to know you and help you I needed it but I didnt have the money so if it wasnt being offered for free I Couldn't do it. Feel fully even the depression. I used to sleep all the time and stay in bed for a long time. In that time I didnt know this feeling is healing stuff but I listioned to allot of music that helped me feel my pain. Thats music secret is that it is kinda a way to unearth feelings in us. The main thing is to keep the faith even when faithless. I have this technique I created I call the sages cave technique where I go to a room where I can be completely comfortable and safe ether sitting or lying down in the dark. Its the easest way to feel is by being in a condition of zero distraction. Lying down may make you sleepy so I perfer sitting. Sages would live in remote places such as a mountain or a cave in my opinion to do this. Keep feeling this isnt easy but it does get better I myself am still unbottling my emotions its completly natural although scary at times.
