Good. Exactly right.

Can you see that "self" is just like apple?"

LOOK & write what is true.

Yes, it's really label-like in a very similar way. And has that “lying” contraction, if ever so slight. I noticed that when I think about “myself” through time, in the past, that contraction is heavier, denser. I think of various identities I have, as far as hobbies, work etc, and there is an even more fraught density there. Very similar to that contraction of lying. What is there? Feeling, visual memory, labels.

Excellent!

Yes! It's the lie sensation. Nothing there, but a story.

How does it FEEL to see this?

It feels very pleasant, empty. It also feels like there is a lot to examine, excavate. Almost all of my life my mind/emotions have been referring back to these fictions of self. Getting entangled, sticky. Feels important to stay alert to this, see that it is almost all feeling and label.

Okay, let's look at another aspect of no self.

Palm Flipping Exercise

1. Hold a hand in front of you; palm turned down.

2. Now turn the palm up. And down...and up and so on.

Watch like a hawk.

Don't go to thoughts – examine your direct experience.

Do this as many times as you like, and each time inquire:

How is the movement controlled?

Does a thought control it?

Can a ‘controller’ of any description be located?

How is the decision made to turn the hand over? Track any decision point when a thought MADE THE DECISION to turn the hand over and the hand turns over immediately.

Who or what chose which hand - the left or right hand for the exercise?

Can you find a separate individual or anything that is choosing when to turn the palm up or down?

Loving,

So i did this a bunch of times. Answers got simpler the more I did it. I realized that there really wasn't much I could say..
How is the movement controlled?
It seems to control itseld
Does a thought control it?
No. There can be thoughts around it but really they're much like bees buzzing around. Not controlling it, adjacent to it..
How is the decision made to turn the hand over? Track any decision point when a thought MADE THE DECISION to turn the hand over and the hand turns over immediately.
No decision points can be found. I can sense feelings and feelings of intention around, but it can not be said that these feelings makes the decision to make the movement.
Who or what chose which hand - the left or right hand for the exercise?
No one. If anything, habit.
Can you find a separate individual or anything that is choosing when to turn the palm up or down?
I cant.

I have been feeling into this for the past week as I can. Feelings of gentle immateriality, emptiness.

Nice.

Can you say 100% there's no separate self?

I do not believe I can say this. Feelings of selfing still arise.

Ty so much for guiding me Stacy!

So, I believe I've been going through the process described in the video for the past 2 years, since December 2022 to be precise. This guidance has been very nice for refining insights I'd say I already have (could be wrong, that is how I a feel). Is it possible to be guided to go deeper on this forum? In terms of fetters, to be guided to break fetter 4-9?

It looks like I missed your reply. I'm so sorry. No we don't do the later fetters here however there are a couple of groups and there are other guides out there.

Take a look at the Awakening Curriculum on YouTube with Pernille Damore and Todd Lent.

Also, Christiane Michelberger & Kevin Shanilac.

There's also a FetterFree group on Facebook. You have to be invited.
