Hi Floris
How do you feel about not finding anything that can be called a person/self? A sense of doubt, or does it actually feel, for example, a little more spacious?
It feels easy, more natural, freer, there is no trying.
can you find something which is doing the hearing?
I can't find where the hearing is going.
Can you find 'hearing', or can you just find the sound? Or we could turn it around, and say we only experience hearing?
- do you notice how images/thoughts are imposed onto the experience?
Hearing / sound just happens, that's what it is. Thoughts, language, images have been taught to us and have been taken too seriously. The idea / picture is like a description of an event it comes afterwards. An event that is "subtitled" or "spoken on".
After doing that, is 'I hear a sound/bird/car' an accurate description of your experience? If not, how would you phrase it to make it as accurate as possible?
The sound happens, the sound is.
Check this, go from what is called the inside sound, to the outside sound, and see if you can find a boundary or border where the inside space is left, and outside space is gone into by attention. Is such a border found? Is there a place where the inside space stops, and an outside space begins, or could it be all the same space?
The consultation takes place in an unlimited space. One cannot find the boundary where hearing begins or ends. The internal and external "space" is limitless, one and the same. With hearing, this is clear as soon as I close my eyes.

Love,

Okay, good. Does that mean you're this limitless space?

Do you feel you're as clear on this no-self thing as you'd like? You'd liked to be asked the confirmation questions?

All the best,
Floris

It would just be a new name tag. Honestly, it’s just life / being that can’t be slapped.

Thanks Flores, now this feels clear again.

Thank you very much!

Hi Elonihme,
It would just be a new name tag. Honestly, it’s just life / being that can’t be slapped.
That's good. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't still an idea of being an entity separate from the space.
Thanks Flores, now this feels clear again.
You're very welcome! Would you like me to ask you the confirmation questions? These are always asked at the end of the conversation, to make sure you're clear on the no-self matter:)

With love,
Floris

Okay, here they are:

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

6) Anything to add?

If you wish, you can also answer them in for example two times. Whatever you wish.

All the best,
Floris

Hi Floris,

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
It is not and never has been.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
The illusion begins when a child is taught to believe and trust words and thought. Likewise, the illusion begins now if a person believes in thoughts, stories, words ...The illusion is deep in society. People think this is normal.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
Trying and pinching falls off. Feeling normal and grateful for everything without anything special.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
Looking at it in everyday life. Seeing in everyday doing that the idea is glued on afterwards. Things are subtitled or talked about.
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Free will, the choice is just a new name tag. Things happen as they have always happened before, but there is no glued on top of the idea of “I” doing something.

All the best and many thanks!

Hi Elonihme,

Ah, thank you, that was nice to read. Let me ask another guide to take a look, as that is common procedure. I'll let you know when I hear something, which is usually within a couple of days.

All the best,
Floris

Hi Elonihme,

One question that came up is: is there a believer that can choose to believe something or not?

Have a good day,
Floris

Hi Elonihme,

Okay, nice answer! As you can see, your nametag turned blue. You'll, I think, receive a message (PM) from an admin shortly. Or maybe you already received it. So.. that means for now you're done with this! It gives me some satisfaction thinking I could have been of some service, so thank you too. Of course, there is deeper you can go and also in this forum and with the FB group you can be added to, there are some opportunities for that if you would so desire.

All the best,
Floris
