Dear Warissem,
Thank you for explaining the meanings.Even though I knew these words separately putting them together has brought clarity.

We need to put down the meaning of the words we use. Awareness = being aware = knowing.
What is experienced = experiences. They could be sights, sounds, smells, tastes, sensations, feelings, emotions, thoughts, …

In the basis of the definitions given above, where do you situate Mamta, yourself ?

Mamta is a space in which all experiences take place and that is also knowing.
I am the knower of knowing.

What is a decision other than a thought ? Can a thought take a decision?

First I felt that a decision is a reaction executed by the body. But then if I look at my direct experience I see that thoughts come then ”I”decide whether to follow them or not. For example a thought comes to say, ”I am thirsty, ”I should get some water” then another thought comes to say ”I don't need it yet,”I will get it later”. Then randomly at some point I get up and drink water or sometime I don't drink and forget about it so I think a decision is an action done by the body independent of thoughts. Thought can suggest actions but it's up to the ”I”to follow it or not.I would say no thought can not take a decision.

Can you describe exactly what this link looks like ? Is it a thought, a sensation, a smell, a taste, a sound, a sight ?
I was not fully present in the moment to establish that accurately or thoughts are in the autopilot mode they just carry on arising. I believe that the link was thoughts, sensations, sounds and sights.unplesent thoughts, sensations from memories. The image of that person and the words spoken by them.

Being aware don’t stop the thoughts. You are aware all the time long, with thoughts arising or without thoughts arising. Look for yourself
.

That is true- being aware don't stop the thoughts. ”I”just become aware that thoughts are arising. When thoughts are not arising its nothingness.its emptiness for a short time.

Love
Mamta

Hi Matma

First, you need to understand what do I mean by "direct experience".

Right now, you are reading these words, I ask you a question : what is the color of the sheets on your bed ?

You have two possibilities to answer : 1) you say from memory : they are white (here you have not used your five senses) or
2) walk to your room and take a look on the sheets and give an answer (here your are using your eyes, it is direct experience)

Mamta is a space in which all experiences take place and that is also knowing.
I am the knower of knowing.
Yes there is knowing and being aware but it is not you, it is not Mamta. When I say, there is no you in any shape or form, what do you feel ?

That is true- being aware don't stop the thoughts. ”I”just become aware that thoughts are arising. When thoughts are not arising its nothingness.its emptiness for a short time.
Yes. Continue to observe this nothingness and tell me if there is you there ?

Dear Warissem,
Thank you for explaining the direct experience. I do use the information from the memory.i am clear about the direct experience now.
Yes there is knowing and being aware but it is not you, it is not Mamta. When I say, there is no you in any shape or form, what do you feel ?

I feel a big knot in my stomach.a bit of panic and wondering what am I?
Yes. Continue to observe this nothingness and tell me if there is you there ?

I kept this question in my awareness for couple of hours and I noticed that
There is nothing in nothingness not me not anything.

Hi Mamta
I feel a big knot in my stomach.a bit of panic and wondering what am I?
I let you know that there is no one to disappear because there was no you in the first instance. It is only in the seeing of the absence of you, of a separate self. The life is happening before the seeing, the life is happening after the seeing.

I recommend this reading for you : http://markedeternal.blogspot.com/2014/ ... ation.html

Dear Warissem,
It was strange to not receive any questions today .
There is no one in the first place means I have been operating or living life from the separate self for the last fifty years.no wonder life was hard and full of sufferings. No separate self no suffering! All suffering comes from the separate self.
The article is very good. I have read it couple of times. I looked behind the fear, the big knot in my stomach and found darkness behind there. How do I bring light there?
I let you know that there is no one to disappear because there was no you in the first instance. It is only in the seeing of the absence of you, of a separate self. The life is happening before the seeing, the life is happening after the seeing.
How to I abide in that there is no me?

How do grow the seeing of the absence of separate self?

Love

Dear Warissem,

Questions were not very clear. So tried right it again.
How to I abide in that there is no me?
How to abide in ,”that” there is no self or no me?

How do grow the seeing of the absence of separate self?
How do I grow continuous seeing the absence of the separate self?

Hi Mamta

There is no you to abide in that.
How do I grow continuous seeing the absence of the separate self?
What is this "I" which wants to see the absence of a separate self ? Look vividly at this "I" with all your senses open and describe it for me.

Dear Warissem,
There is no you to abide in that.
There is restlessness or a nervous energy in my chest when I read this
sentence.
What is this "I" which wants to see the absence of a separate self ? Look vividly at this "I" with all your senses open and describe it for me.

Is this “I” is the separate self? It wants drama, It wants a big bang and with a puff of smoke every thing becomes crystal clear. I t wants to see a bright light. This “I” wants to feel as light as the feather. This “I” has worked it all out at how “I” should experience enlightenment.

Look at this "I" and tell me what it is ? Is it a color, a shape ? Is it a sound ? is it a perfume or a taste ? Is it a sensation ? is it a thought ? Look.

First This “I” felt like a sensation but when I looked closer it is a dark grey round ball in my chest.

Your answer suggests a need of a surgery. Are you kidding? is there really a ball in your chest. No. You need to understand definitively what is going on here : I want you to LOOK AT DIRECT EXPERIENCE : it means seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching.

This is an exercise for you to do for a whole day : go for a walk and report what is going on in direct experience.

Dear Warissem,
I want you to LOOK AT DIRECT EXPERIENCE : it means seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching.

This is an exercise for you to do for a whole day : go for a walk and report what is going on in direct experience.
I went for a long walk this morning and this was my direct experience: I saw black tarmac road.
I heard & saw a white car
I saw white frost on the side of the road
I heard a dog barking at me and felt sensation in my stomach.
I saw the birds flying.
I felt the cold air touching my face.
I touched the tree and it was cold.
I saw lots of different sizes bare young and old trees
I saw saw big fallen tree with mustard colour branches
I saw a little church
I saw a little hill
I walked on broken thin pieces of ice it felt as if I was walking on a broken glass
I saw a dog coming near me and a sensation in my stomach
I saw my shadow
I saw the sun shining
I heard the birds chirping and flying around
I saw a green fence
I heard a plane flying over my head
I saw people out on a walk
I heard the water flowing
I saw lots of big and small puddles along the path
I heard the footsteps behind me
I saw white sky with patches of blue sky
I saw various signs like private property or name of the cottages, speed limits or cycle route
I saw big fields of green grass and many small routes though the fields
I saw people smiling at me
I heard the sounds of my phone when ever there was a new message
I saw a face mask on the wooden post
I was red rose hips and red and purple berries.

Thank you for this exercise Warissem, as I was Looking all the time I stayed present and a few times thought came to suggest something from the past but I was busy looking so I didn’t go along with the thought.can you suggest exercise like this for at home as well please.

Hi Mamta

Good. You can do the exercise wherever and whenever you want. It will help see that there is no you.

Now you pick up at random seven of the activities listed in your post, then write them without using "I".
I give you an example : I heard and saw a white car.

First exercise : write this without using "I" = there is hearing and seeing of a white car.
Second exercise : pinpoint to what is meant by each word in the sentence.
I = to what this word is pointing ?
hearing : there is hearing in direct experience
seeing : there is seeing in direct experience
white car : it is here in direct experience.

When you do the exercise, you will see that all words pinpoint to something in direct experience except the word "I". This word is only a thought to which are attached other thoughts. LOOK at this "I" till you see what is here or what is not here.

Then answer to questions :

How do you feel when "I" is not used.
Is "I" necessary to describe an experience ?

Now you pick up at random seven of the activities listed in your post, then write them without using "I".
I give you an example : I heard and saw a white car.

First exercise : write this without using "I" = there is hearing and seeing of a white car.
.[
/I saw the sun shining
There is a seeing of the sun shinning.
I heard a plane flying over my head
There is hearing of a plane flying over the head

I heard the water flowing
There is a hearing of the water flowing
I saw a little church
There is a seeing of a little church.
I saw my shadow

There is a seeing of the shadow .
I heard the footsteps behind me.

There is a hearing of the footsteps.
I saw people smiling at me
.
There is a seeing of people smiling at (me)
Second exercise : pinpoint to what is meant by each word in the sentence.
I = to what this word is pointing
? I is pointing to the separate self- which doesn’t exist.
hearing : there is hearing in direct experience
Hearing is a direct experience in a space as all experiences take place in a space.
seeing : there is seeing in direct experience
Seeing is also a direct experience and it’s also taking place in a space. Yes,it’s an object appearing in space.

I need more time to Look before I can answer the last question. not able to see the what word that could be.
Thank you
Love
