Hi Becca
Let me introduce you to the quote function. It works
like this!
and is really helpful for ease of understanding when we want to refer to what each other have said. You just use the quote box above.
How do you imagine a liberated human behaves?

My idealist views would say, graceful. Kind and considerate towards others. Selfless. Less pulled into the illusion of separation and seeing the ego for what it is. Most of the time!! Then sometimes they would be the opposite as they are still human so all experience is possible!
My original thoughts were that they would be like a super human, capable of much more. Able to live a life without the limitations of fear based thoughts. But now I realise that this is not always true. Conditioning runs deep and capabilities can still be limited. Most behaviours would therefore be the same.
Some good reflection here
What will it give you, what do you hope for?

I think largely things will be the same but the way I see the world might shift
yes, I think that's pretty realistic
What don't you want it to be like?

This question is also hard to answer.
And that's fine - some people have fears that come up here, so it's partly just a check on that.

All expectations, no matter what you expect is not what it is going to be like. Anytime you feel stuck, come back to expectations, if there is something that you think that should be happening, but it isn't- there is an expectation behind it. They are not useful but in the way.

Exciting, no?

And here's an exercise for you
Imagine that you are holding a spoon. Imagine form, size, weight, temperature, keep it there, close your eyes, and feel the imaginary spoon.
Open your eyes; is there a spoon here, in real life?
So how did you see that there is no spoon?
What happened to the spoon?
Did it disappear or it never existed?

Yes. I love what you said here. Anytime you feel stuck come back to expectations! Beautiful.

There is no spoon, it was never there, it never existed. Only in the imagination.

I’m struggling with how I saw there was no spoon. There was nothing there.

Not sure if I’m answering this right.

Hopefully the quotes worked, it’s hard to tell on my phone using the Tapatalk app. Fingers crossed.

Thank you

Sorry. It didn’t seem to work last time, so just testing...

Hi Becca
I find I can't do quotes or bold on my phone (only on my lap-top), so don't worry if that's your main tool for posting.

You have answered this perfectly!
Notice, that there was no boom and no bright light flashes in the eyes when the imaginary spoon was no longer imagined. Remember this, a shift is not going to be more than this, it’s just a drop of belief- the glue that holds the illusion together.

Here is another exercise:
Close your eyes and imagine you are in the kitchen. Just visualize and look around, notice where things are put. Notice the space, the feel of it.
This is an image, it can trigger feelings and contractions - expansions, thought stories and feelings attached to them.

Open your eyes and see how an image can be created and explored in the mind.

Go to the kitchen and look at the same things that you saw in the image, how does imagining and experiencing the same things differ? Is the image of the kitchen and experience of the kitchen the same?

Hi Sioned,
Yes, unfortunately I only have my phone to reply on so won’t be able to use the quote function. Hope that’s ok.

I imagined being in my kitchen. The images and shapes seemed to come from memory of how things are. Where things are kept. What colours and objects there are. I imagined the cold floor under my bare feet. Then I went to the cooker and this led me into a story about leaving the gas on and what could happen. Earlier today a friend was telling me about a horrific story about her friend who left the gas on and is now in hospital due to burns so my thoughts went there. I felt sad about what had happened to her, although I don’t know her.

How does imaging and experiencing the same things differ?
They differ in the way that when my eyes are closed the images are less clear/crisp and more flat. The detail isn’t clear and it’s harder to stay with one object. More like dream state but not lucid dreaming because sometimes this is clearer than waking state in my experience. I wear glasses in waking life but in lucid dreaming I can see clearly. When experiencing things with eyes open they are sharper, objects are more dense/solid, I can feel sensations in my fingers when I touch objects or feel sensations in my feet as I walk on the floor.

Is the image of the kitchen and experience of the kitchen the same?
It’s kind of the same in the way that it is all experienced through the mind or thoughts and sensations but the imagined kitchen and experienced kitchen are quite different experiences as stated above. So I guess this would be no they are different.
During the experience of the kitchen with eyes open, stories and thoughts still arise in the way that they did when using imagination.

Yes, the visual is very different. Less clear when imagined.

Great.
It's fine for you but to be able to use the quote function by the way.
Now repeat the exercise this time using the bathroom as your focus

Thank you.

Yes, I have the same conclusions. The bathroom visualised is very different from the experience of being in the bathroom which is much more vivid, clear, 3D, objects are solid and moveable.

Hi Becca,
Focus on the image of me, the separate individual entity, is it an image or an actual entity?

Just an image. There is no one to be found. No separate entity.

Good!
If I was to tell you that Santa is real, would you see him in the room right now? Can you see the difference between the real and the imagined?
