The identification does it have to disappear completely?Yes, although that identification with the body is still there.
Why?
Why not?
Identification will go on and it is good this way….just in case you get in way of a car or a shooting or or… . This film can go on running, it is the knowing that this isn’t all there is, and that there is no one or no thing separate from what is which makes the difference.
The content of thought can stay the way it is, once it is seen who would be worried about it.
Yes, this can happen. To be honest, there has been a feeling a apathy recently. This sense of a complete lack of faith in thoughts, plans, fantasies and ideas that otherwise would present a sense of hope and certainty.
It is quite a change from the the belief in the separate, all doing and planning I to life simply happening, unfolding. Be patient, just notice what emotions and thoughts appear and just allow them to be, welcome them as you would welcome and old good friend and notice how they appear and disappear. There will be a new balance found.
Noticing is the key here. Notice how a sensation appears and how thoughts appear, offering lots of explanation and trying to weave the sensation into the story of Dawson.Noticing itches, constantly changing sensations that can feel aggravating. There tends to be much more identification during those moments.
Just stay with it - no fighting it - just observing with curiosity.
It can be helpful to see that it never was any different, ever at all. There never was a self steering the ship of life, never, there was just the belief, the idea that it is/was so. So everything as usual. ;-)Struggling to find a compass or something to cling on to (as melodramatic as that may sound). Then in contrast, that's interspursed with periods of just being. Nothing to say or to think or do on those occassions.
Take your time, have lovely time in nature if possible and allow what happens.
Notice how life unfolds everywhere, no captain on board.
Happy New Year for you!
Love
Jadzia
