The blackness is thought pointing to the experience of empty space (black)And is that blackness empty space or only thought says that the blackness is empty space?
They appear by themselves as pictures and an internal voiceDid you do anything to make a particular thought or thoughts appear?
It seems like there is an 'I' choosing them, but where that 'I' is, is a mysteryCould you have done anything to make a different thought appear at that exact moment instead?
They just appear and disappear, it is not known.Where are they coming from and going to?
It is not known what the next thought will beCan you predict your next thought?
By push away, is this to move the thought around in awareness ? There is no control over thoughtsCan you push away any thought?
It seems something is choosing yes, but maybe this is just another thought. There are thoughts arising when eyes are closed again to observe thoughts, then the attempt to stop thinking a thought in the middle appears to be another thought. Can you select from a range of thoughts to have only pleasant thoughts? Can you stop thinking a thought in the middle?
It was always thought that negative thoughts could be changed to positive ones. For instance when there is pain, listening to confidence Cd's was an experience coming from a thought that was chosen but now thats not known as who choses thoughts ?Can you choose not to have painful or negative thoughts?
The thought about changing the topic of thoughts arises before the next thoughts change. But the preceding shift in thoughts was also a thought. Can you pick and choose any kind of thought?
Changing thinking seems to be controlled but when looking the thought change was preceded by a thought "change to something different'. When a thought arises "stop thinking these thoughts' is that not too a thought ? They can't be prevented from arising no, what's doing the preventing ?s it possible to control any thoughts? Is it possible to prevent a thought from appearing? Including the thought 'I'?
Thoughts seem to change at will, an the thought 'this is unnerving, who is in control' is to, just another thought. It seems that thought has some logical ordered appearance, but look carefully and just notice if there is an organised sequence? Or is that just another thought that says ‘these thoughts are in sequence’ or “they take content from previous thought”, or that ‘one thought follows another thought’?
Hope this helps
Love M
