Hi Mathew have been looking last few days at those questions and have yet to find a self in any of the exercises just decisions,thoughts etc
Will keep looking and get back to you with more thoughts 😎

If I told you:
"Please go into this room and tell me what you can find"
and there is nothing in the room..
Then "nothing" is what can be found. And "no one" of course :-)


You can also report a little from daily life.
What changes without the idea of a separate self being in charge and needing protection?
What stays the same?

Very busy at moment ... so the delay ..
Feel very at ease mostly ...nothing much sticking ! but want to look more and see if I continue to find nothing !

At some point it should become clear, that this looking could be continued for decades.
The result is always the same:
Is a self here? No. No thing. No one.
Is a self there? No. No thing. No one.

Does anyone or anything need confirmation for this reality?

If I get drunk or if I forget to pay a little attention to what is happening i can not notice that “thoughts are just thoughts”etc when I bother looking or simply pay a little attention to what is happening I find “nothing”
My experience when I pay that attention is invariably a profound sense of ease .Does the lack of a sense of ease which can arise without paying attention (or if I am drunk ....only an occasional thing) hint that I am still seeking somehow or is it simply hinting at the result of not paying attention etc or saying to me you have a crappy time when you are lazy attention wise (or drunk)
