Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
do i tell you about the film title ? I enjoyed very much the listening and understand that there is no me or I, i do get that, i have the problem with taking notice of the thoughts sometimes and then it brings me back and i feel i have lost all it's silly I know as there is nothing to lose.
Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
Well, please try to answer the questions posed here http://liberationunleashed.com/nation/v ... 82#p142495 - in terms of your direct experience (your senses).
Eg if you say "I decide", what is it like to do it moment by moment?
Please take your time. It isn't a matter of agreeing with the audios but rather checking to see what your experience is.

Hello Armstrong
well my movie title have done as you said and I feel it was an image that came to me out of nowhere I went with it for a little almost like flying then realized I was there
the observer is I think within me but not sometimes or it is me not being always aware
the observer is a feeling it comes and goes and is always there but it is the me not noticing or maybe not being present all of the time to know that it is always there.

Chatlotte, I am confused. I cannot see how what you wrote in answer to the questions corresponds to the questions. Could you please do the following - quote the question and then write your answer. That way I will be more likely to understand you.
Please try answering the questions above again. Just start over.
Thanks.

Armstrong thought I had answered please let me know what the questions are that you would like me to respond to and I will. I am getting confused myself. I am trying to be as honest as i can in answering what I think you are asking me to do.
Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
Ok, so the questions/exercises start here: http://liberationunleashed.com/nation/v ... 82#p142495
Please answer in terms of direct experience. If you don't know what "direct experience" is, I suggest you go back and listen to the audio again.
Given that you're feeling a bit confused, I have a request - after you do the exercises and come up with an answer, please read it an see if you are answering in terms of "direct experience". If you conclude that you haven't answered in terms of diret experience, please answer again, in terms of direct experience.
Take as much time as you need.

Please tell me what it is like to pick a movie title. Eg I ask you what movie you want to watch next month.
Please describe it in terms of direct experience - sights, sounds mental images, thoughts, feelings, etc. Imagine I am seven years old and don't understand complicated things.
Eg as I type his message to you, I see my hands moving and characters appearing. When I make mistakes - I know from seeing the words - I feel tension/frustration and I correct things. What isn't happening: I don't think about what I'll think before I think it or type it; my words are novel even to me. I don't know when I'll mistype, or how irritated I will or won't feel about my mistakes.

Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
the movie i am watching is already making the feelings feel very free, the colour is a pink orange sky, it feels calm but sad, i hear no sound just still, i see a few birds in the distance flying further into the distance, this makes the feeling warm, gentle and a feeling of love in my tummy and in my throat, it is nice, but a little scary,in a good way almost as though something is about to happen but all is calm, so it will be good
Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
That answer is nonresponsive; you didn't answer in terms of our senses.
Let's try again. Pick a number from one to ten. Tell me what that is like, in terms of direct experience.

Does the number really matter I think not, but mine would always be 9.
The number does not exist it is not matter, so my senses do not feel for a number, its difficult to feel something without a nervous system , am I giving you the answer you need, or have I moved into the wrong direction.

Re: I'd like a guide - charlottez
What is your thinking about the number like?
I understand you don't see it, etc.
I have some big reservations about our ability to make this work. In order for this to work, you have to be abke to describe your subjective experience in words.
Let's try agai. - pick an animal. Tell my how that gets done. What sort of thoughts do you notice? How does the picking actually happen?

I thank you for being patient, I have misunderstood, so I have started from scratch, as you said in a pervious post, you will realise that it is you thinking the thought, from time to time, and this is true.
I meditated for a little and then from nowhere came a horse, it was brown with a black nose, I felt warmth, I was not scared the warmth was in my tummy, I then had memories and feelings that came and went very quickly memories of judgment, a little tension in my back, but I was aware that in between all of this that was happening very quickly, I was feeling love and warmth throughout my body, pulsating, my attention did leave the horse a few times, and I was aware of that, but the attention returned and awareness was there, the times in between also allowed me to see flashing images, lots of colours. It is not easy to describe a feeling, I hope I have described it well.

Ok. Thanks for answering the question!
Ok, so - out of nowhere came a horse. Was there an "I" - a subject - that was you that made that happen? Did it/you/the subject enumerate all choices (all possible animals) and then pick one? In retrospect , could you have picked differently?
