I appreciate you pointing out when I am over analyzing. It appears the difference between direct and over analyzing is very subtle, so I definitely need it pointed out.
You'll get sick of it eventually - LOL.
Not really, but I hope when I mention it that you can SEE that analysis has happened.
That you have gone into thinking about the correct response. Not just what is here.
Am I right in assuming that 'I' is the typer on the keyboard?

I don't know. I get conflicted feelings here.
Perhaps caused by analysis. Something comes up but you question if it is right.
There are no right or wrong answers here, and no-one to judge you.
Just be 100% honest.

Incidentally, when you write these messages to me, are you sat down or laid in bed?

Sitting down. Either at a desk at my previously mentioned boring job(things are slow here) or at home at my computer.

Also, I won't be annoyed by the reminders of direct looking. I really do need them.

So 'I', 'me' is the body the sits down at the desk, and types replies on the keyboard ('I' controls the body's movements).
I don't want to put words into your mouth, but put very simply, would this be acceptable as what 'I', 'me' is in your experience?

Yes, in my current experience the "I" is in control, doing these things.

Great. Ok, let's look at 'I' the controller of the body.

Press any key on your keyboard. In normal speaking we say 'I pressed a key'.
Look into your Direct Experience right now and find this 'I' that made the finger press the key.
Where is the 'I', the 'me' that caused it to happen?

Due rectory and before thought or analyzing, I do not find an I or Me. There is just the action on pressing a key.

Ugg, bit by autocorrect there. Due rectory should have been "directly" lol

Directly and before thought is exactly the right area.

You say that there was no 'I', no 'me' found that was doing it. Is this 100% clear?
Then what caused the finger to press the key? Or did it just happen?
Don't think or analyse - LOOK.

It is 100% clear right away before thought, for an instant. Thought usually then comes in and muddies things. Do you follow what I mean?

In that instant it feels like it just happened. A key was pressed.

Oh yes, mind comes in right away and claims the action/experience for itself.
'I pressed a key'. This is a great observation.

You say it 'feels' like it just happened. But did it - Be totally clear.
Is there an 'I', a 'me' controlling the finger?
Is there an 'I', a 'me' controlling typing?
Is there an 'I', a 'me' reading this message?
Will there be an 'I', a 'me' who will write a reply?

As simply as possible, the answer to all of those is no.

Cool.
So what does 'I', 'me' have control over?

Hopefully you don't mind brevity, but anytime I feel like explaining it feels like over analyzing

The answer is simply: nothing

I understand Rob, but right now feel free to think and elaborate if needed.
I want this to be clear. There are no right or wrong answers. Just be honest.

Is there anything that 'I', 'me' has control over?

No. Following the chain, if there is no I or me controlling the finger or the typing or the reading or the replying, then there isn't a me or I and if there isn't a me or I then there is nothing to be a controller.
