Re: Thread for CelesteGabriele
by investigation I don't know that there is an I.
What I am finding is awareness or better to say consciousness
When I say : " I am here " I am really saying:" Consciousness is here, consciousness then is reporting the sensation in the body, the woman sitting, the body breathing"?

What is aware of consciousness? What is aware that sensation appears in consciousness?

YES, I and consciousness are one. Consciousness is aware of being conscious. and
the answer to the Q:"What is aware that sensation appears in consciousness?" is:
Consciousness is aware. Therefore all that is is Consciousness.
I love feeling the lightness after writing this.

You and everything in your world are one; that is not the same as being a "you". Is consciousness separate from Life? Is it outside of being Celeste?YES, I and consciousness are one.
Is consciousness a "you" that directs and controls some slice of Life? When you LOOK with the eyes in the body's head, do you see consciousness attached to Celeste, by a string or a chain? Is it "yours"?
"I" is a label, a word to indicate "this apparently localised fragment of Life". I appears in language alone; there is no entity I in reality.
Some labels point to Real things: table, computer, couch. Other labels point to imaginary things: Batman, tooth fairy, self, "I".
The thought "I" is real—you experience it; however its content is imaginary. Just images.
Consciousness is aware of itself? And what is aware of that awareness? Is that a "you"? Does it exist separately from Life, as a director, a controller of Life?Consciousness is aware.
So when you are asleep at night, and unconscious, does all-that-is stop? If all-that-is is consciousness, what is unconsciousness? And how does all-that-is begin again in the morning?all that is is Consciousness.
These are not trick questions. As you go about your day, notice whether there is a "you" driving the body.
Is there a breather? or just breathing. A hearer or just hearing. A see-er or just seeing. Is a "you" required in order for the body to perform these functions?
Is there a "you" cooking meals? Is there a "you" that sits in meditation? Does a "you" drive your car? Or does cooking simply happen, as part of Life; meditation happen without a director; driving simply happen without a need for a "you" in control.
Have you ever arrived in your car at some familiar place and suddenly realised you don't remember each step of the way? You weren't aware of the route you took, but simply arrived?

YOU ASK:" Is consciousness separate from Life? Is it outside of being Celeste?
CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT SEPARATE FROM LIFE. IT IS A PART OF BEING CELESTE/
YOU ASK:"Is consciousness a "you" that directs and controls some slice of Life?
NO, CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT A YOU/ME THAT DIRECTS
YOU ASK:" When you LOOK with the eyes in the body's head, do you see consciousness attached to Celeste, by a string or a chain? Is it "yours"?
NO I CANNOT SEE IT, IT'S NOT ATTACHED TO ME, IT'S NOT MINE. IT IS AND THE MIND CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT, IT CAN ONLY BE EXPERIENCED AND NOT EVEN THAT EXPRESSION IS CORRECT. DON'T KNOW HOW OTHERWISE TO SAY IT.

YOU ASK:" Consciousness is aware of itself?
NO, CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT AWARE OF ITSELF, IT JUST IS.
YOU ASK:" And what is aware of that awareness?
AWARENESS IS JUST IT.

NO, IT DOES NOT STOP, CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT BORN AND IT NEVER DIES/SLEEP.
YOU ASK:" If all-that-is is consciousness, what is unconsciousness?
UNCONSCIOUSNESS IS INCLUDED IN CONSCIOUSNESS
YOU ASK:" And how does all-that-is begin again in the morning? IT NEVER STOPS SO IT NEVER DOES START AGAIN.

Is there a breather? or just breathing.JUST BREATHING/BEING BREATHED. A hearer or just hearing.JUST HEARING, A see-er or just seeing.JUST SEEING. Is a "you" required in order for the body to perform these functions? NO THE BODY IS BEING BREATHED, I AM IS NOT REQUIRED.

Re: Thread for CelesteGabriele
When you say CONSCIOUSNESS IS DRIVING THE CAR, what exactly do you mean by consciousness? Describe as fully as possible.CONSCIOUSNESS IS DRIVING THE CAR
Today, or sometime very soon, go out into nature. Watch Life all around you. LOOK with the eyes in the head. Is there any director/controller running the show? Moving the birds into place, growing the plants, directing blossoming or death? Or is Life just happening as you watch.
Is Celeste in any way separate from all of life Life-ing?

I is just an expression, that what we do say here on this planet, there is only consciousness
When I say I I mean consciousness.
When I say I I mean consciousness.

I do not know that there is an I
It what I say when I communicate
All there is is consciousness, that is the I.

All there is is consciousness, that is the I.
Re: Thread for CelesteGabriele
Consciousness is not the I. Check it!All there is is consciousness, that is the I.
When I say "I went to the store," I don't mean consciousness went to the store. If consciousness had gone to the store, the store would have been packed with every person in the universe, every sentient creature that shares consciousness!!!
Your car is too small for consciousness to fit; consciousness is not driving it. No one is driving it; it is simply driven. The driving happens as a part of Life life-ing. There is walking out the door and down the path; there is getting into the car; there is turning on the motor; there is driving to the store. It all just happens.
The body is present; the event of driving occurs.
The belief that consciousness (or even awareness) is DOing something is an interpretation of a past, however momentarily ago. It's the same as attaching an "I did it" to an event, but swapping out "consciousness" for "I". It's still I-dentification.
Consciousness is a label for the apparent ground against which all things seem to be perceived. And this is a much subtler inquiry than that in which we are currently engaged.
Today, or sometime very soon, go out into nature. Watch Life all around you. LOOK with the eyes in the head. Is there anything at all running the show? Moving the birds into place, growing the plants, directing blossoming or death? Or is Life just happening as you watch.

I am replying to your Thread from today : 3/13 which disappeared

MY ANSWERS: there is nothing running the show. I was in the swimming pool, on the chair, running into friends, on the bike and I was not doing it, not even planing it. Yes, Life is just happening while I am watching. Celeste is not separate from Life-ing. Consciousness is not separate from Life.

Where and what is self?
Does self exist as an entity in Reality?
How does self function?

When I look there is no self, just Life, birds singing, mountains in the far distance,
sooo, it all just is. And w/o a story there is only light. self does not exist as an entity in Reality.
I don't know how anything function, it's the I don't know when I accept which brings peace, love and
the desire to live from that. All is well here.

I'm so sorry about the glitch that 'disappeared' my post. Has it returned to normal now?
Is consciousness "you"?
Does this feel different from when we began? Has there been a shift in perspective? When I look there is no self, just Life, birds singing, mountains in the far distance,
