Dear Nona,
Outside of work there is more focus on direct experience. Focus is often shifting from seeing to hearing and feeling sensations in the body and time is more "fragmented", i.e. there is a visual image and then another visual image but the two are not "connected". While seeing, there were sometimes focus shifts from the focused object to the periphery of sight to a broad view that includes the focused object and the periphery. When focus remained on seeing for longer periods, a flickering across the entire visual field became apparent obvious and the view started jumping quickly.
Seeing also sometimes seemed "flat" (don't know how to better describe it) and the colors were more intense than usual.
Hearing was more or less as usual, a few times there was just the hearing without mental images of what was supposed to be heard.
The body and especially the belly region were often tense and it was seen several times how there is first just a sensation, then a mental image of the body part. Especially walking is often watched and labeled as 'happening automatically', also many other body functions like scratching, eye movements or arm movements. There were less 'I' thoughts following bodily sensations and the body sometimes felt "hollow" or only consisting of the surface.
Spoken thoughts still referred to an 'I' often and when focus shifted from thought content to thought form (i.e. spoken or image) there were other spoken thoughts 'oh, that I was only thought content' sometimes accompanied by a focus on direct experience and thoughts about 'looking for an I'.
Today I was out with colleagues on a 90s party and the body felt dense and contracted and there were several spoken thoughts about 'my insecurity'. Only sometimes did focus shift to direct experience, mostly to the tenseness in the body and thoughts about 'the tenseness still remains'.
Does this answer the question or did I miss something?
Fast vibrations in the stomach region, prickling on the skin, a label 'anxiety'.
Have a good night!
Martin
At work everything was as usual: Focus was on thought content, there were a lof of planning thoughts regarding how to proceed with the projects at work. In meetings focus shifted from listening to the content of what my colleagues said and thinking about that to just watching how things happened (although the content of discussions mostly got lost when focus was on direct experience).would you please describe how it's been felt and experienced in the past few days?
