I was too late so she gave me the link for the next meeting.
When you look at the word label ‘GREEN’, what is the actual experience?
The experience is still of the color red.
Is the red color "experienced" or is color green "experienced" as the label suggests?
Red is still red. The label is pointing to green, but the color experienced is red.
Do the labels have a one-to-one correspondence with "reality?"
No, labels are pointers. They are not direct experience.
Or do the labels suggest something else other than what is here now (red color)?
Labels point to something other than what is here now. Labels are not direct experience.
Is green-ness an inherent attribute of the "experience" of the red color; or is green just a word label on the experience of the red color?
Green is just a word label on the experience of the red color.
If the label ‘GREEN’ is replaced with the label ‘GOOD’ or ‘BAD’, is the redness affected in any way as the labels suggests?
The redness is not affected by any label. It’s just red.
Does redness become "good" or "bad," or do the labels have no effect whatsoever on ‘reality’?
The labels have no effect on reality. It could be any word, the direct experience is still the color red.
Thank you, this was a powerful exercise for me.

Good. Hope you can make it to the next one.
Great answers on the Red Green pointer. Here's another one like it:
Friend/Stranger
Bring up a thought about a character labeled "friend."
Then bring up a thought about a character labeled "stranger."
Compare these thoughts.
Is there a difference in these thoughts?
Is there a true difference or is it just different content?
Now, bring up a thought about a character labeled "friend."
After that, look at a thought about the character labelled "me.”
Is there a difference?
Is there anything special about thoughts with the content "me-character?"
Let me know what is found.
Labeling the day, the Sensations, etc. does nothing to reduce their beauty or joy, but can hide them from our awareness.
Loving,

Do you still want to be guided here?

Hi Stacy,
I’m sorry for the delay. I’ve been away for weeks on retreat.
Bring up a thought about a character labeled "friend."
Then bring up a thought about a character labeled "stranger."
Compare these thoughts.
Is there a difference in these thoughts?
The thoughts are just labels
Is there a true difference or is it just different content?
It’s just different content with labels
Now, bring up a thought about a character labeled "friend."
After that, look at a thought about the character labelled "me.”
Is there a difference?
Different content. Different labels
Is there anything special about thoughts with the content "me-character?"
No, nothing special. Just different labels on the content
Let me know what is found.
This points to the idea that both characters are made of the same “stuff”—images, memories, sensations—but we attach different emotional weight and stories based on labeling. Labels can cover our direct contact with experience. When we look through thought rather than directly at reality, we live in a filtered version of life—often missing the mystery and aliveness that’s here beyond concepts.
I feel like I see through the “I”.
Thank you

Good morning!
Retreats are good. Thanks for letting me know.
When we look through thought rather than directly at reality, we live in a filtered version of life—often missing the mystery and aliveness that’s here beyond concepts.
Yes. Exactly!
I feel like I see through the “I”.
Excellent.
How does it feel? (still staying in DE, not thoughts & labels)

Hi Stacy,
How does it feel? (still staying in DE, not thoughts & labels)
It feels expansive and clear. It feels like living without a filter. And having discernment of the filter that is habitually there.
I hope you are well.
Gratefully,
Lauren

Good morning.
Pretty well.
We have some traditional checkpoint questions we ask at this time would you like to answer those? Your answers will be shared with other guides who may have questions.
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?
Loving,

Hi Stacy,
I haven’t been able to answer these questions confidently. I feel resistance in the body to it. I am going to answer them when I feel I can from a place of clarity.
Thank you,
Lauren

Thank you for your support and patience. I am listening back to the meditations you sent, those are super helpful. I am working with the resistance that feels like “me”. If there are any other meditations you recommend, please send. I will review the exercises we have done again, and I will follow up when I feel like I can answer these final questions with a true knowing and not from my head.
I appreciate you.
Thank you,
Lauren
