hello Vince
I believe the LU forum is for like minded people wanting to explore the idea that there is no i, and of course all that comes with that.
good wishes are o their way to you

Good morning Charlottez, ok that question came back.
How would you describe what you know about the illusory nature of a Self to someone who has never heard of it.

hello Vince
we to be sure they would not think me odd ( not that i would care ! A joke ) I would i think say that it was all about oneness, that everything is oneness, and nothing is oneness. When we eventually come to the point of being empty, we see that the empty is so full and there is nothing but love.
love to you

well Vince
well discovering that we are never anything but aware presence, was a great feeling knowing that this cannot be heard or sensed or touched and this is why we sometimes over look it, and i think this is why we go back to thinking we are something else, like we may think we are a thought or a memory, our seeking has always been just looking for happiness and love, ut we discover we have it the whole time, so i guess it was a very happy feeling in my heart , but we do fall sometimes into a little entity which is when we start to suffer all over.
So just the knowing that we are never anything but aware presence and staying there is love and happiness always.
love and happiness to you

Good morning Charlotte.
well discovering that we are never anything but aware presence
This has me worried.
This (thing ?) that you have labelled "aware presence", seems to be a substitute for a Self.
Is it logic and deduction and what others have said that brings you to say this ? ...or are there sensations that you have given this name to ?
How have you arrived at this statement ?

You still have missed the point of the question. Imagine that you have a 10yr old child that you want to explain the nature of a Self to.
Using language that the child will understand, explain how the Self comes into existence and continues to affect their life.

hello Vince
i understand and yes have heard others describe self in this way, its difficult to put into words. But here goes!
once sitting in the garden i was thinking about lots of things and some of them worried me and i wanted to keep thinking about some of the things - mind would not let me stop. I felt worried and scared about the things that were on my mind, can assure there was nothing to worry about, but i did not know that then.
As time went by and i started to understand that really there is no i, I am a body that life does its thing through/
Time passed and on another day iwas again sitting in the garden - by now i had understood and realised many things about self /U.
My mind stats to wander, not only am i not worried about the thoughts, but also i see them as something that may be gong along a check out cesk, going along 1 by 1 and i see them, but i know they are nothing just thoughts i see them and let them go, they are gone they are nothing, and what will be will be.In other words all that happens just happens we the I has nothing to dowith anyof it, we can only experience what is happening
I also notice that all around me in the garden is alive and part of me
Vince these are 2 ways i would describe al to a 10 years old. Do you think this is a good example and a good way for
the 10 year old to understand.I hope so.
good vibes on their way to you.

'morning Charlotte, Yes i did get it.
a guide asks for you to eleborate on what you wrote (june 19) "I do not feel a charlotte that is experiencing, but still I have a feeling that there is me who is observing it all."
Tell more about this "me" who is observing it all ?

love & good vibes

Vince good evening
not sure i follow, but here goes. The experiencing is just happening, thoughts ideas , sounds , seeing, touching they are all things happening as i said previously it all just happens. Experiencing is just happening and is felt in the experiences through the body, the body being just a vehicle that the experience is felt through. There is no observer or Charlotte as such, just experiences happening it s all just happening without anything to do with anything or anyone.
wishing you a great day ahead.

Good morning Charlotte
More guides are interested in your experiencing...
One asks; "in direct experience, what comes first - the experience itself, or the thought that it was felt through the body? Are these two the same thing?"

Another says; My question for Charlottez: "On Sept. 15th you put your experience into the words 'So just the knowing that we are never anything but aware presence and staying there is love and happiness always.' Please go into the feeling you call "aware presence". Which sensations are there? Where in the body and what quality? Then find out, whether there is an "I" or a "we" attached to it. If yes, has it always been there? Or where did it I come from?" --- Thank you

And another; Does she call her "feeling and seeing life happens"=Charlottez or is there a belief to be a body?

love and good vibes

Hello Vince
They are the same thing.
i think the one who is trying to be the self is just a thought, so everything or should i say something are all just thoughts that come and go as i said before they come and go, and this is the aware presence it is a constant.
There is no one thing watching the thoughts but consciousness being aware of the thoughts coming and going if that makes sense. There is no I . I is just consciousness. I hope the explanation covers all.
happy vibes on their way.

Hi Charlotte.
A guide would like you to elaborate in this; "Experiencing is just happening and is felt in the experiences through the body,"

love
