Well, awareness isn't personal.it seems personal when thoughts come in. I don't know if impersonal is right word, but it has no sense of self.

When there is awareness of an object , there are thoughts that come that make it seem peronsal. They are also thoughts that make it seem impersonal too. Awareness is just is.
