Hello John,

Thank you very much for the explanation in the first paragraph of your message from November, 19th.

I am familiar with Byron Katie´s work. In 2009 I applied the technique she offers which was very helpful.

Thoughts arise and fade away. Watching (even the weirdest of) thoughts coming and going does not cause any rejection or going in circles.

. . .

In childhood I was told + taught not to feel anything.

So feeling & experiencing sensations from unfolding stored energy was happening along with a habitual rejection of the very sensations.

The only way out of going in circles was the way in. In the last couple of days the following unfolded:

A pain / sensation arises.
Attention focuses on the very sensation.
Pain diffuses into NO-Thing.

NO-Thing is.

"I" experimented with this and applied it to all kind of forms, like thoughts, sounds, parts of my body, etc.

Each form becomes + is a "bridge" to the formless, the NO-Thing.

No-Thing is always + everywhere. All is No-Thing, appearing in different forms.

This is realized by direct, immediate internal experience.

. . .

Continuation.

Here are the answers to the questions posted by you:

Question:
- "When you say ‘I’ am, what exactly are you referring to? - A principle of nature, Being taken care of simply because I am."

Answer:

In this context above the "I am" is a synonym for NO-Thing.

"A principle of nature, Being taken care of simply because I am." was meant to be an aphorism, a bit poetic, yes?

"A principle of nature" refers to the way nature unfolds itself on every level of form-reality.

As awareness / NO-Thing unfolds itself into all kind of forms,

all forms are part of the creation = (and thus) being taken care of,

simply because they are all part of the ONE, the No-Thing.

Question:

- "Is what you mean more like ‘it is natural that things are taken care of – it’s just the way it is’?"

Answer: Yes. :) see answer as described above.

Question:

-How does it actually feel to have seen through the illusion of self?

Answer:

The quality of the feeling can be described as calm, relaxed, laid-back, unwound, peaceful.

It feels to be the most natural thing in the world to recognize the illusion of self.

A spell was broken.

I would like to return tomorrow to answer the last question.

Thank you very much for pioneering the ground for realizations to happen.

With deep gratitude,

Angelika

PS: Sorry about the different font colors.... hopefully they are not too disturbing. Just felt like experimenting a bit.

The font colours are no problem - i.e. not disturbing, though a little bit confusing! Look forward to your response to the last question.

Sending love,

John

Hello John,

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by confusing colors.
Painting, creating images and pictures is very enjoyable for me. :)

Question:

- Was there something in particular that pushed you over, made you see directly? Was there a specific moment when seeing happened or was it gradual? what exactly happened?

Answer:

The enquiry on physical sensations which always led to the NO-Thing was the post powerful cognition or realization.

No matter to what kind of form attention was addressed to, the research ended in or at NO-Thing.

Attention naturally moves back / returns to NO-Thing.

NO-Thing is recognized by a bodily felt sense which is followed by an experience of an internal opening.
(which is difficult to express in words.)

In the beginning the attention was primarily focused on possible responses of the physical body to NO-Thing.

After a few weeks the attention returned (was pulled) to NO-Thing and remained focused longer on NO-Thing.

In the last couple of weeks attention returns and focuses easily on NO-Thing.

Internally knowing NO-Thing suspends the illusion / idea of self automatically.

The former effects the latter.

Thank you very much for your kind patience!

May I greet you with,

A Lotus for you, a Buddha to be.

Very Sincerely, Angelika

Hello Angelika,

Thanks for the greeting (at the end)!

It does seem to me that you are 'through'. I'm thinking of putting this thread up for other guides comments, questions or confirmations quite soon. It would be helpful if you could just respond to one more confirmation question:

- How would you describe liberation from the 'I' or self-view to somebody who has never heard about 'no you'?

It would also be helpful if you could write from another angle on your response to a question you've already written a repsonse to (below). I think it'd be clearer for anyone reading though this if you wrote both these responses specifically in terms of seeing through the existence of 'you', as distinct from writing in terms of NO-Thing. One very much implies the other, but doing it from this angle would help clarify possible questions others looking at the thread might have.

- Is there a you, at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form?

Warm wishes,

John

Hello John,

Thank you very much for your reply! :)

The question,

- How would you describe liberation from the 'I' or self-view to somebody who has never heard about 'no you'?

The answer,

From the very moment new human life is created and born, they are taught by caretakers how to respond to things that happen in the very moment = in each present moment.
This accumulated knowledge is called common human conditioning.
As human beings get older facets of conditioning is added also by any kind of media.

Due to the fact that caretakers more often than not do not practice "directing all attention to the very moment aka being present" the ability is not known or developed - by growing children & adolescents - to be aware of the underlying quality of Life, which can be experienced as Stillness, Peace, Warmth and Openness and recognized as the Truth, the Origin.

To make matters worse western language contributes to the idea of a separate "I".
"My name is . . " I am so and so", "I am a student", "I am hungry" . . .
These statements point to the existence of a separate persona.

As a result awareness experiencing common human conditioning, language, and a seemingly disconnectedness from the origin of all,
it "resides" temporarily in a concept, an idea of "who we are."

The idea of a separate self creates by some means or other all different sorts of suffering.

Once the experienced suffering gets too strong, the tension gets too high and the form is cracking,

As form cracks light shines through, and "our world breaks into pieces."

Actually this is all I can say.

The liberation from the concept of an "I" needs to be experienced firsthand, hearsay is not enough.

I would suggest to anyone who wishes to be liberated to start inquiring with the questions "Who am I, Where am I ?"

Question;

"- Is there a you, at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form?"

Answer;

Asking the question, "Where is the you?" leads to the following astute observation:

A "you" is not found, hence neither experienced or felt.

. . . .

It is almost midnight and I would like to stop for tonight. :)

Thank you very much for being and doing! (can you say this?)

Very Sincerely,

Angelika
