Ok thanks for the tips but it sounds like it may have timed out and logged me off. That's fine no big deal. Lets try this again and hopefully get it right. :)

Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

No there is no self in anyway shape or form and there never was. The illusion is the belief that there is a me making decisions and living this life when in fact Me never existed ever now that's not to say that mike is not real he is as is his story and people in his life his emotions etc. the only thing that is not real is the me doing it all.


The turning point was when a realization the thoughts made no difference in what was happening in mikes experience for example if mike was thinking about drinking a glass of water and finally did the thoughts would have come I am thirsty then im drinking water the thing is both those things were just happening then came the thoughts after each thing happened so no real decision was made it was already happening each time so the self didn't decide at all only took the credit for it lol!!

How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

Everything is still the same I thoughts still arise but they lost their importance so to speak and because of that life seems lighter, flows.

Yeah, everything is so much lighter, simpler, and clearer without the noise and confusion of the self superstition.

1] Please explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

I believe it starts as soon as we start learning language which is about 2 years old. The first thing we learn is our name and that quickly turns to me or I and at that point the mind starts labeling everything and connecting it to me such as my toy my bike mine mine mine! :) how it's works well the mind is a brilliant tool but because we are I guess are basically taught that this is mine or that is yours or I did that or you did that from that really early age it's so brilliant that it starts automatically labeling everything without effort and there comes the illusion of "I" the illusion is things are just happening events circumstances during this experience then dictate thoughts. When "I" drink a glass of water I (you know what i mean) think I decided to do it when what actually happened was my body felt dehydrated which gave rise to a sense of thirst and at exact moment automatically the thought “I am thirsty” a label came up placed on an event happening. So the thought had nothing to do with it or in other words the I didn't decide he was thirsty thirst happened and then was labeled. Same when “I” drank the water the label automatically arose after “I am drinking” but in reality drinking is happening the thought is only a label connecting mike to the event happening.

What experiences?
What thinks?
What does?
What is aware?

All these are answered by no thing everything is just happening nothing does anything at all it's all just happening in this moment there is only this moment everything else is thoughts/memories no one thinks thinking arises from nothing then falls to nothing from events and circumstances happening in the moment Who is typing this right now?no one typing is happening who is thinking of what to write? no one. It's so simple it's really hard to find words to explain.
