You said in the beginning that you find words enticing. Great creative writing there, but how does any of it actually apply to real life?
But what makes you think there is an author or a dreamer? Where is it? Is there absolutely anything that points to the existence of one?
- No location.
Did you read the whole question? Is there absolutely anything that points to the existence of one?
it is as if the author is inserting into his own story that possibility that he exists. The character responds with curiosity, but really it is the dreamer in you who is beginning to question through her character this possibility.
What you talk about - it's all abstract speculation. I'm not interested in these stories about what might be happening, or could be happening, because there are infinite possibilities and we'll be walking around in circles forever. It's pointless. I'm interested in what is actually happening.

You said -
Universe, dream, reality, story are nothing but distinctions your mind superficially leaps from to eventually return to its point of view.
and then -
What you are experiencing is the imaginal realm.
????

Whatever realm this is, it's the only knowable realm, and therefore the only realm. Sigh. I'm repeating myself. It's boring.

Your responses don't even seem to relate to what I'm asking you. Just bizarre, unrelated, self indulgent tangents that might share some of the same words. Do you even read what I write? It really seems like we are both just talking to ourselves here, and it feels like a futile exercise.

From the start you have been unable to be honest about why you're here, and I've made it clear that I'm not here to play games, have a debate, or waste time. I am here to guide anatta insight through direct pointing. If you are here for any other reason than that, or if you want to play games, find a willing opponent, cos I aint it.

However, if anatta insight IS what you are here for, now is the time to display some honesty in answering me this:
DO YOU EXIST?

Happy birthday!!! Yayyy!

Um. No self. But you're still dreaming dear. Lalalala.

"Confirmation":

There is no self. It is imagined by nothing. People live their lives as if they are this imaginary "I," which puts them in a very unstable situation. "I" can have its feelings manipulated very easily, by mere concepts, etc. ^concept = ^emotion, "winning, smart, handsome," by mere concepts <concept = <emotion - "lose, wrong, ugly." Not that there is no pain or anything in the human heart. It doesn't take an "I" to feel joy or loneliness or desire. This is all natural. But there is a sort of refinement or cleansing of the over-sensitivities, and a lessening of the tendency to elevate oneself through pride and other self-enhancing conditions when there is no identification with "I."

So right, self is false. There is nothing behind self. It is like, where one normally imagines "I," maybe in front of the face or something, when that is gone, BAM! big empty space. Just presence. Just life looking through life's eyes. Pretty amazing. Pretty beautiful.
