Still looking. I can't exactly find a separate "self", but I have not had a shift in perception.

Thank you. I had read this article and read it again. I don't usually use this question unless it comes up in the moment.
Perhaps the problem is that I am still expecting something in the future. It's a subtle expectation, which I guess comes with this process. I am trying to stay anchored in the Now and direct experience.

Fear comes occasionally but is mild and doesn't last long.

There was an opening today. Even though I've heard it a thousand times that awakening happens now, not in the future, something clicked and I realized that was true. Something was revealed. Something very subtle. A glimpse.

I remain relaxed, present and alert.

Hi Stacy,

The strangest thing happened. I had a heart opening for a friend. It came out of nowhere. I felt this sudden compassion for her that wasn't there before. This unbinding is revealing so much. What an interesting journey!

Also, sometimes when I look at my hands they appear to not belong to me.

Can you find any separate self?

There are still so many thoughts. The sense of a separate self comes and goes with thoughts. When meditating, I can't find any direct evidence for a separate self. Only thoughts seem to indicate a separate self. But this is still not felt as the default.
There's still not enough space between thoughts. I'm going to go more into the body sense. This is when the thoughts quiet down. Back to Buttchair!
