Hi Stacy,
I listened to the recording you gave me many times and it was like a retreat...
I have no interest in reading any book on awakening anymore, as I know it's just more food for thoughts and mind which does not really help.
The sense of 'me' is in the feeling and emotions and the thoughts that generate feelings...
I keep tracing every feeling to its origins (sensations) and I could not find anything
I did the same thing with thoughts and there is nothing substantial.
When I observe how the body moves, I see clearly that there is no self commanding the body.
Everything is clear but I still feel like my body is still holding to the old belief...
I feel like there is something still holding the old belief structure from crumbling.
I am still looking using direct experience

Great. Sounds like you're doing everything you can.
The *idea* of "self" is a lie feeling of contraction plus the lie thought of a "self." That's it.
"Enlightenment is an accident. Meditation makes us accident prone."
Sunryu Suzuki
We cannot predict it and we cannot make it happen. We can only practice the conditions in which it is more likely.
This frustrates the mind because it wants everything to be linear and logical and step-by-step, but this is not. It is non linear and unpredictable.
We are looking for a shift in perception.

It feels like you're reading my mind :)This frustrates the mind because it wants everything to be linear and logical and step-by-step, but this is not. It is non linear and unpredictable.
The thought part is becoming weaker, but the lie feeling of contraction is still thereThe *idea* of "self" is a lie feeling of contraction plus the lie thought of a "self." That's it.

Yes, of course. You will feel the lie feeling as long as you're lying. Once you wake up and see the truth thst there is no self, that will go away. The thought part is becoming weaker, but the lie feeling of contraction is still there
The pointers point you to the truth.
