LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
The self as something separate or continuous does not actually exist in that sense. What we think that we are is not actually what we are. There are a bunch of belief based illusions that make us think that a self exist.

What are you looking for at LU?
I'm curious about the method. I want to learn more about ways of seeing through the illusion of the self. I also find it fascinating to talk about this with others who recognize it for themselves. I am 10th fetter free, so maybe this isn't for me, but I feel like the integration continues and I still find different modalities interesting and helpful.

What do you expect from a guided conversation?
I don't really have any expectations. I see it as an exploration. I just felt compelled to write here and I'm not sure that this is for me. But as I wrote above I'm curious about the method and have found this interesting for many years.

What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I have practiced for 10 years. Many 1000s of hours of meditation. ca 10000 formally sitting and just as many meditating/inquiring in daily life. I'm liberated/10th fetter free w/e term you want to use, that happened about a year ago. The seeking has stopped, but the exploration continues.

Sure. Go ahead and read as many dialogues on here as you like. You will find though there there is not one and only "method" that is used by LU guides.

In terms of the fetters model, LU focuses on the first three, with stress on No. 1.

I'd hate to spoil the fun, but doesn't your claim to be "10th fetter free" sound rather grand?

Even if we've dutifully completed all the prescribed explorations or taken a fetters course, been officially certified or something, isn't it that life can still present situations which may potentially show us beyond doubt that what we have believed is simply inaccurate?

Would you agree that this is a possibility? In asking this, I am of course assuming that you're not joining LU from your deathbed, which would likely be the one situation to justify a claim such as yours?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but what "integration" can possibly continue or how can any "modality" be "helpful" if none of the ten fetters are in place any more?
