Loving,
You say "sense." Which sense? You only have 5 of them. It's more like a sense of identity.
I found this sense of self to be a combination of sensations and subtle mental images. First and foremost the sensations of the head, eyes, and face combined with very subtle images/outlines of my face. Second, sensations of throat and heart regions combined with subtle images of my body. You say "sense." Which sense? You only have 5 of them.
Yes, thank you Stacy. And thanks for the guidance up to this point. :)Let's find you a guide who does, ok?
No, there is no separate self. The question if there ever has been a separate self does not even make sense, as there is no past either.1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
The illusion of the separate self is the belief in thoughts about me as a person. Typically, a thought about "myself" arises and attention automatically falls onto that particular thought. Mind typically follows with a series of further thoughts to reinforce the belief. This belief has to be constantly reinforced by compulsively thinking about this separate self.2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
I AM. Suffering is non-existent (at least at the moment), as all suffering is mind-made. Losing belief in the mind brings so much relief and freedom.3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
I went through a series of awakenings in the past 2 months, with every awakening deepening realization. However, regarding the initial awakening, shadow work broke a few deeply rooted beliefs so that the last barrier could be broken.4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
I'll give the same answer for all of them. Decision, intention, free will, choice, control... all of them are mere illusionary. Life happens and mind claims doership. That's all.5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
I don't know and neither does anyone else. There is no cause-and-effect relationship that might explain the happening of life. Cause-and-effect exist only in the realm of mind. What makes things happen? How does it work?
Absolutely nothing. Isn't that wonderful? :)What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Nope ;).6) Anything to add?
