Hi Ronald,

Below are my answers to the "5 questions".

Let me know if you have any question or need further clarification.

Hope you're doing well.

Peace

Kevin

1)Is there a 'me', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

No there is no me and there never was.

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works.
The illusion of a "separate self" is simply a group of conditioned thoughts. These thoughts are conditioned and accumulated over time and are also genetically pre-dispositioned. However, all of this is "noticed" or can be "noticed" - this proves that these thoughts are not one's "True Self" - but an illusion.

3) How does it feel to see this?

It feels "freeing" - almost like a heavy burden has been lifted. The body experiences a "relaxation" response. There is also a feeling of "clarity".

4) How would you describe it to somebody who has never heard about this illusion but is curious about it?

I would point out that one cannot be who they "think they are" because all thoughts are noticed. I would then ask: "who or what is doing the noticing of the thoughts?" It is obvious that it is "no-thing" that is doing the noticing - it is life itself. I would then ask them who they are when there are no thoughts - and to notice the peacefulness when the mind/thoughts aren't given any attention.

5) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

I actually noticed the "empty space" that everything appears in (including thoughts) after reading my first non-duality book. However, seeing this and not believing in the "illusion" grows over time continuous noticing that there is no "me".
