well i feel skeptical but open minded. if its true, i feel that it would be a wierd world we live it, and maybe sad. and i also feel scared at the same time since if i dont exist what does this mean about death and the afterlife? above all else, if i think about it hard, i feel confused...

2). yes, it may seem as thought emotions are separate phenomena, but they are really what happens when thoughts and sensations sort of 'collide'. before thought comes in there is just experiencing. when a thought comes in, it can cause a sense of separation / duality, and this produces what we call emotion. but if you look carefully in your direct experience, you can break down all experience in to those 6 sense streams.

I am not trying to get you to believe anything though Nick, however, This is a skillful way for you to break down your in-the-moment experience so we can investigate the illusion further. play with this further. get up look around... see that it is a combination of all 6 of these, at all times. simply put, there is Experience, and we can break this Experience in to 6 sense streams. cool?

referring to your thoughts is important, but you also need to be open to all levels of your experience for this to really hit home. a huge part of that is really being aware of your feelings. don't rationalize and think them away. give each feeling space. feel it fully.

Being Honest and Sincere like you have above will not only serve you in this investigation and Awakening, it will serve you in all aspects of your life. Yes. I definitely felt you deflecting, that is why I kept returning you to that question. Knowing this, open up to all levels of your experience. That will benefit you universally as well.

In terms of ignorance about processes, you have this model now Nick, and I can tell you I still use it to this day, and it is impressive at bringing pristine clarity. So, drop the label of you being 'ignorant' and start being aware of your 6 sense streams... Simple. You can start doing this NOW.

The only thing that will throw you off is getting lost in thought/interpretation. Just see the thought as a thought. That's all.

The problem is when we get caught up in STORIES (networks of thoughts that are played like a movie and reinforced by sensations) --> do you see how I refer back to the 6 sense streams? As you may already may know... the mind (thoughts) is one of the most powerful, especially for the maintenance of illusion, and suffering. What is important to remember is that thoughts have no power, they only do if you BELIEVE them.

well i just looked in the mirror. i look into my own eyes. i see my own reflection for one and i feel attached to my body. so the nick is within my body, somewhere behind my eyes looking out..... so i see for one my body, when i touch the keyboard and type i feel my fingers typing, when i smell i smellt hrough my nose, i assume if i went to the ktichen now and ate some bread id taste surely, i hear things clearly, and i have thoughts running throuhgh my mind so i locate this person inside me

i didnt read all of it since i remembered mid way through that it i wasnt supposed to but im scared that it may be true since it seems to align with logical intuitive sense... i feel that something is happening in 2012, i also lost a job recently and somewhere it said that this is 1 sign of spiritual awakening.... and there were others that also coincided with my reality... and then it said something about going into the 4th dimension and introducing a higher consciousness which this all seems about...

why is sam harris producing a book about this topic? and what happened to jim carrey? there are all these signs...

Nick... thoughts are thoughts. Close your eyes and visualize an alien, then a tooth fairy, and then a dog. Is it your reality? if that's Reality for you well then... we have different definitions. Those are images, and thoughts. Thoughts are thoughts. Thoughts are just thoughts. The content of thoughts is not real. Thoughts are thoughts.

Also... I am not answering those questions because they are not relevant.I don't know what you assume about me, or about Liberation Unleashed, but let me remind you what I am here for, and what LU is here for alright? cosmiK.... im really sorry for being such a hard case, and i have complete faith that you will help me see the truth.... i hope i see it soon but i feel that i am in for a completely new being.... a completely new world... again these are my expectations and i should not give it much face value. i will only follow you and ignore everything else that is out there. you are 100% right, they are a distraction. i should focus on now, awaken, and then wrestle with these questions.... you are my guide and i will follow your instructions religously and with all my attention!!!

i have so many distracting thoughts that take me away..... i need to shake my head for me to come back to reality without getting taken away by thoughts. but when i look inside, i cant identify where i am... when i look outwards with my senses, i see, i can feel, i can hear, but it doesnt give me any information about where i am....

so to answer your question... i cant find this I.....
