Hi Stacy,
how does "seeking" seem now?
Seeking feels Like a tension, superflues but "just around the Corner"....habitual!
No George, no chooser or decider. What's left to find? What still seems "separate?" Anything?
.,.the "ability" to stay there. The seeking itself for ?????
George

Hi George,
It may take months or even years to mostly be there. As long as we're "here" we seem to latch onto untrue thoughts that are stressful & keep us from truth. The solution is to question those thoughts.
This is the honeymoon period. Enjoy it!
We have some "final questions" that may help to see what is left to look at right now. Then I run your answers by other guides to see if anything was missed.
Are you ready to try the final questions? Or do you want to Integratefor a while? Do you have a by questions?
Loving,

Great. Take your time & make sure your meaning is very clear.
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?

Re: stopbitingmytail
Hi, Stacy,
I might take on 2 or 3 questions at a time.....
"was there ever" ? It was from the beginning a "fake", had never reality, even though a strong make-belief.
(I have a vague memory of some event in my childhood - it happened several times: I am sitting in a very small doorway, on one side is the "me" (as a child) and I am looking to the other side and knew with clarity: that is the side of the adults and I have to go there - without choice - loosing what is "right" - I was very sad.)
So the "I" and the body-identification (my body) merge to the "solid" I-me - mine, almost no chance to escape this dream.
When we start looking for freedom (from this dreaming) we want to free ourselfs from this "I"or ego, without success, not recognizing, that we cannot get free from something which was never there in the first place.....the seekers dilemma, and so was my dilemma....
You once said: you can be in it and still talk about it. Seems still somewhat difficult - I will have to go back to these questions again.....

I look at this question and "self","me","I" are seen as a thought, an idea, not any reality in it, not an entity, and not "the subject" it suggests.1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
"was there ever" ? It was from the beginning a "fake", had never reality, even though a strong make-belief.
Learning to talk from adults/mother implyed "I" + verbing and "am" + attribute. From then on I do, I feel, I am f.e.hungry, I am good/bad......this is how the inner dialog started:" I" talking to "me"/talking about "me", everybody around me does it, so I copy their behavior, naturally growing into this illusion.2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. more trust, less doubt in the availability and ability to "look" and see - an impersonal seeing - it feels like "looking from above" - "outside" of the situation which is looked at/seen.3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
I do not feel like beeing "on top" of seeing - but "sensing" the quiet spot from which to look....4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
In my actual present situation I feel like "being lived", thoughts beeing " brought to meNot knowing ", maps being layed out in front of me without my doing or deciding - I do not feel in control - the "commander" speaks "in my ear" - how strange is this!5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.

Good. Thank you, George. Sounding clear.
We prefer to see separate answers to each post part of Question 5, please? Please Quote, then Reply to each piece.
5)
Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Once that is complete, I'm going to run this by other guides to see if I've missed anything.

Re: stopbitingmytail
Hi Stacy.
I am on the road with the camper looking for the nights place - not taking the first possible but turning towards the second possible site - turns out the perfect, quietest safest place to be. I had no clue, no info, no planning, just followed the impulse to turn....
If I could choose what to want before I want it it would be free will..
There is no free will - decisions are made - directions taken - it all just happens - f.e. driving a car is a fairly automatic happening.
It even happened that after a long jouney "I woke up" (with surprise or horror) with the question:"where was I? - who was driving? - no accident, no "driver" no danger! (this example points also to the question "who is acting" not in particular "who is deciding")
-how I grew up
-how I managed school
-how I fall in love
-how I ended up in my live´s circumstances - all happened. Mostly a reactor to outside cirumstances, which where beyond my choice or influence.
"knowing" how to make the right decisions would have been the best tool for navigation.
For making a choice in every day situations the "intuitive" yes/no answers to questions work best: do you want pizza? "No"
"do you want sandwitch?""yes" - basta! those are the "bodysystems answers for me, quick and clear.
My choices are mostly the preferences of taste towards food, music, environment...
About the "flow of life" there is no choice and no one to have a choice or even an alternative to choose from.......
awaiting your response
greetings from george
When I do not know what to do I wait - when decision comes I act, its like "from outside", almost like "a voice" telling or the circumstance directing. I cannot say: I decided. It just happens.Describe decision & give examples from experience.

with "intention" I feel in tension, s.th. to achieve or aim at. Here also I tent to wait for the "right moment" to have things happen by themselves - not me doing, rather feeling helpless to do.Describe intention & give examples from experience

Re: stopbitingmytail
Good morning, George,
You've crossed the Gateless Gate. Welcome!
You should also soon have a PM at the top right with additional information & an invitation to LU Facebook groups where you can ask questions & virtually meet others who have seen what you have seen.
This is a beginning, not an end.
This is also a honeymoon period. Someday you may feel that you have lost it. You haven't. What has happened is you found another unquestioned lie in your mind, an untrue thought. The solution is to question the untrue thought and find what is true.
I'm Stacy Ann Clark in Colorado on Facebook. You can friend me there if you like.
