Hello Veda,

Thank you! I read your post several times because it was such a pleasure to read. You expressed yourself and the way you feel so clearly. I could feel the freedom in every word.

I am going to get other guides to have a look at your thread...to make sure everything is in order...to make sure that my pointing is on point! Sometimes there might be further questions asked, just for clarity sake. I will let you know if this is the case.
I am so thrilled to be at this stage of our exploration and before we go further I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to you for all the guidance you have given me (and many others). This work is so amazing and so important and so needed and you do it well. Bless you. And if you ever talk to Ilona please thank her too for setting up such an incredible website and resource.
It has been a real pleasure walking beside you throughout this exploration. The willingness and depth you applied to all pointers...to the exploration was gratifying. You left no stone unturned. So I thank you so very much for the whole-heartedness with which you explored and responded.
Where do we go from here Kay? I hope we can continue in some way or other as I can see that there is a new road ahead of exploring life-without-an-'I'. and would love to stay in touch with you and others in this process.
Once the other guides have had a look and there are no further questions, you will be sent a PM via the forum, inviting you to join LU aftercare groups. You and I are already connected on FB and you can contact me there at any time. You can also contact me the forums PM system. Either one is a great way to continuing dialoguing, and I am quite happy to do so.

Once again, thank you for making guiding such a pleasure.

Much love,
Kay

Hello Veda,

Welcome to LU! There are no further questions. What happens now is that you will receive an email informing you that you have a PM from the forum. The PM is an invitation to join LU's Aftercare groups on Facebook, if you feel so inclined. If you have any doubts, confusion or questions that arise, you are most welcome to send me a message via the forum, FB or you can ask them here, on your thread.

It has been a pleasure!

Much love, Kay

Hi Kay,

Thank you - yes, I'm already signed up in the LU Aftercare forum and the LU FB group.

The last day or two I've found myself sitting outside a lot and just gazing around me at nature and feeling tremendously peaceful, like nowhere to go, no-one to be, nothing to do - it feels wonderful!

But I notice I'm missing your exercises - it feels strange to not have something to "work on"! No doubt questions will arise and I'll let you know when they do.

Love to you, Veda

Yes...the mind feels unsettled when there is no doing to do...no seeking to seek! Just notice this. Nothing needs to be done about it...and when we look there is no doer to be found anyway! It's just simply noticing this as it arises.

Love, Kay

Hi Kay,

In my last post I talked about the end of a long road and the beginning of a new one. I notice there's not much seeking energy towards the new one, which is fine - right now there's just a luxuriating in actual experience which is just so inherently peaceful that the notion of seeking seems superfluous.

When we started this exploration I titled this thread "What's Here?" as it felt like this came closest to what the journey felt like for me. In thinking about this since, I see that on the first part of the journey what we completed was actually more answering the question "What's NOT here?"

And in that part of the journey what I came to see was this (among other things):
The presence of thought is not evidence of a thinker
The presence of thought is not evidence of an 'I'
The presence of sensations is not evidence of a body
The presence of colour is not evidence of objects.
The presence of any experience is not evidence for anything other than the experience itself

So now as I consider the next part of the "journey", the new road that's beginning, it seems that:
The presence of ALL experience is only evidence of my knowing of it. And in fact it's not even my knowing, it's just knowing.
So my question to you is this: Is the next step on this journey just 'knowing', just being aware of being aware?
I mean, once the I is seen through, all that's left is experience isn't it? Which means that all that's left is the knowing of experience - is that right? No knower, no known, just knowing - by no-one. Just awareness of what is. Is this right or am I being overly simple?

Thanks for any insights

Sending love, Veda

Hey Veda,

Yes...the exploration was about seeing what you are not, and realising what actually IS and through this, it shows how simple Life actually is. It is only the content of thought that complicates everything and it is only thought that suggests that it's all too simple!
Yep, that's right...that is the simplicity of it.

Love, Kay

Hello Kay,

I wonder if I could get some advice from you. I have been struggling recently with a couple of things, which may be related. Ever since I saw through the illusion of a self, I have noticed increasingly a fear arising. It's a little hard to describe but when I look at the fear it seems to be a fear of "losing containment" or expanding or slipping out of control in some way I can't put my finger on. I know that I never had control in the first place but nevertheless this feels like a fear of some sort of dissolution, of losing control or losing a boundary or something. Is this fear normal? Can you relate to what I'm trying to describe here?

And at the same time I'm having increasing trouble sleeping, maybe partly as a result of this lurking fear. I tend to have problems both going to sleep and staying asleep, as if my normal "energy field" is out of whack or something. Have you ever heard of sleep issues arising post gate? Is this normal?

This whole thing is uncomfortable and slightly scary. Am I missing something here? Is this some sort of process you've seen others go through? Any insight or advice you might have would be welcomed.

Many thanks, Veda
