LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
That the person I think and feel (most of the time) I am, doesn't exist. At all.
What are you looking for at LU?
To find something or someone to help me finish this search for Truth.
I read Gatless Gatecrashers in June and wanted immediately continue with guided conversation, but it looked like that I have to digest everything I read.
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
That it will not stop untill I come to the recognition of my true nature, which I now only imagine or have a hunch of what it is. I need someone who will not allow me to run away, when things are getting hot:)
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
Christian upbringing, 30 years of practicing hatha yoga, different meditations, three years ago meeting nonduality, satsangs with Mooji in Rishikesh in march 2017, listenings Rupert Spira , Eckart Tolle, Katie Byron via YouTube,
All resonates with me deeply.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 10

Re: Nobodyhere
Hi! Great to receive your reply. :)
Thanks! Now, could you observe what you call "ego - mind" here and now?
What is it in the very moment you observe? What about its shape? Color? Texture?
Anything else with which you can perceive it?
Is it a veil?
Best wishes,
Bananafish

Re: Nobodyhere
Hello Aisha.
Great! You observed that the thought "I" isn't a veil.
Now, please look at the display before you.
When seeing it, is there any division between seeing, seer, and the seen?
Are these three separate?
If yes, could you find the boundary between the three?
I mean, not the imagined, conceptual boundary, but the actual boundary that can be perceived
with one or more of the senses.
Please take your time in doing this, and enjoy the experiment!

Hi Bananafish!
I enjoyed this experiment.
When I look at the display:
They are not separate.
Boundary is made through the thinking process.
Thanks for guiding!

Re: Nobodyhere
Hi!
Yes, and it's imaginary, just like all the borders between countries are imaginary.
Now, how do you see the ego now? Could you describe it in details?
What is it, right here, now?

Bananafish

Bananafish hello!
I can't see it. I can only describe it through the thinking process, the same as my person and its story.
Omg:)

Hello from Europe Bananafish!
We have lunch time:)
I don't know.
Thought arises, that if what happening is true it must be a cosmic joke.
Good night to Japan!

There is excitement, joy, in the body there is feeling of energy flow, question arising: is this It? - yeah, this is thought..., a lot of thougts is waiting for attention...How does it feel to see this?
Something very gentle happened. Some relaxation in the body, some joyfulness, urge to stay with this seeing.Has any kind of shift happened?
I don't know.

Re: Nobodyhere
Hi Bananfish,
I know this seeing from the past, but now, with your guidance has become more obvious and it feels that it is allways here.
Is this what advaita masters call 'It'?!?
Could it be so simple?
When meeting people and talk to them, specially family members, attention slip in 'my person' and here I am in my story again.
But, yes, seeing is there, attention can be moved back.
Best regards from Ljubljana / Slovenija!
Ajsha
Yes, please, I need more guidance about/through this 'seeing'. When focus is there, my person/story is seen like a movie. This seeing is very subtle and feels like a 'vast nothing' and through this nothing, life is seen and this body/mind make this knowing/seeing possible. Please tell me what you want to explore further.

Re: Nobodyhere
Hi! It's getting a bit chilly these days here in Japan. :)
Yes, it's your natural state, whether you see it or not.
When you see it, that is the start of living truth.
It's like you are suddenly told that you're a millionaire with billions of dollars in
your bank account. You still know nothing about how to withdraw money from
your account, nor how to utilize it.
You have to learn how to live with that wisdom in a world
where the majority has yet to see it.
When walking check again if there is a walker.
If feeling something, see if there is a feeler.
Keep observing, and this will become so natural that
you no longer have to consciously do it anymore.
Best wishes,
Bananafish

Re: Nobodyhere
Dear Bananafish,
this is overwhelming:)
This seeing is what is called awakening?!?
This seeing is what all religions and spiritual practicies point to?!?
This is freedom?!?
Yes, please for some more guidance.
I've been observing, it feels like this seeing is all there is. There is seeing of some kind of movie.
I sure will.
Thank you so much!
Best regards!
