On a spiritual journey.
Re: On a spiritual journey.
And also ive read on here that doubt is a common thing after seeing. So how do you figure I have not seen?

Hi. :) Watching videos from nondual teachers is not usually recommended to those who are inquiring here. And please answer the final questions, so that we can make sure about your seeing.

Re: On a spiritual journey.
Sorry. Before the questions, could you tell what “all is happening perfectly” means?
Re: On a spiritual journey.
Ok :) The only reason I did watch is because I had stopped inquiring and after having seen I thought I would finally understand his talks. It maybe his way of explaining as he goes quite in depth and almost riddle like. I can totally understand how it can be counter productive to someone inquiring on here though. Yes I will answer them, sorry I didnt earlier was just a bit confused.Hi. :) Watching videos from nondual teachers is not usually recommended to those who are inquiring here. Re: On a spiritual journey.
Could you again tell what the ego, self, or I is, from your own experience?
Re: On a spiritual journey.
Hi, here are the questions ... enjoy!
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
No there is no separate self in any way shape or form in reality and never has been. It only exists in thought.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
The separate self is the ego. It usually starts at around 18 months when the child is given labels.. ie.. you're naughty.. you're funny etc.. This is when the division happens and the illusionary identity is created. From my experience it works in keeping itself alive by attaching itself to thoughts. For example "I" need a cigarette , when infact the body needs a cigarette and the "I" just attaches itself to that thought then in turn strengthens the belief that there is a separate person.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
It feels very liberating to see this. The difference is that I now know that there never was a "Me" I understood it from an academic view point but I had never seen it before. I had never looked for a "self" but when I finally did I had the realisation that it never did exist in reality, only as a construct of thought, which showed me that "I" never did exist. A body was born and a body will die. Anything in between is just a story of the mind.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
I was doing an exercise looking around my room looking at everything that existed in reality. For example. My television. my table lamp, my fan etc. Then I looked for the self and it couldnt be found other than in a thought which then showed me it was illusionary.
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
There is no decision, intention, free will, choice or control. There is the illusion of these things as the "I" comes in and attaches itself to these thoughts. But it is not a person having these thoughts. They are just patterns happening inside of a brain. The thoughts come in then the "I" comes in just after creating the illusion that there is a person that had these thoughts when infact it is all just patterns happening. There is no person responsible for anything, there is just life doing its thing as oneness and in oneness there cant be any judgement as there is nothing outside itself to judge.
6) Anything to add?

Is this an intellectual understanding?
