How does it feel to see this?
Very liberating and safe. Whatever seems to happen, there is something that remains always. Thinking happens, pain might happen, loss might happen.. But it doesn't need to been taken personally, 'cause nothing is truly personal...
Seeking for the guide
Re: Seeking for the guide
Beautiful..
If there is nothing unclear left and if there are no questions left, we could end the conversation in "The Gate" by posing the final questions.
Is that okay with you?

Re: Seeking for the guide
Was a joy <3
Here they come:
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
No there is and never was.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
A thought, like intence energy. It changes constantly like the sky.. But also like a dream. It disappears when I look through it and then I can't find it anymore. I find that things are happening, thinking happens, hearing happens., . And then comes a thought I hear, I think.. But that is only a story, label. Sometimes story takes me, I forget that it's only a thought, but when I stop and remember, and then the story is not so true anymore. Like a dream, when I wake up, I am in a different place, dream wasn't true even if i thought it was..
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
I feel more freedom, less thinking.. Things happen but Its more easily to "let go" from different situations. There is that space "beyond all" and I can easily "lean in" it and feel true freedom.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
I'm not sure, but I started to notice that I can make a choice. To belive my thoughts or not to brlove. I started to look what is true and found that nothing is permanent.. And I also found that something jost is, being, isness... That always is and always has been there, so it has to be only thing that is true.. My thoughts are never true. Only made up words. I looked and saw how some thoughts just go and some thoughts seems to be more important, because there is some feelings during them. But that is only a story thay sounds true, what else it could be!?!
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
It seems like there is free will. But I'm not sure is there. Things happen and I think I made them happen. But it seems like things happen through me. I don't know exactly how..seems like they rise from nowhere.. And also I feel like life just lives through me.. And then comes a story Hannele is writing. But writing happens. I can just follow.. I can't control it truly.. Only follow, obcerve what happens. Impulses comes and I can only follow them and look what happens.
6) Anything to add?
No there is and never was.

Re: Seeking for the guide
Thank you for these beautiful answers!
Saying that life happens 'to' or 'through' anyone or anything assumes that something is outside of life.
Is there something outside of life?
Does it exist?
Can this "I" make things happen?
Let us be clear in all aspects! It seems like there is free will. But I'm not sure is there.
things happen through me
Through what exactly?life just lives through me

What "I" exactly are you referring to here?Things happen and I think I made them happen

Re: Seeking for the guide
Things happens to no one. There is no I, the self. Only a thought of self. Things happens and thinking happens. To no one, though no one. Life happens to life..
Re: Seeking for the guide
I meant to no one, throught no one :)
And that is liberating!!!

Re: Seeking for the guide
That sounds amazing :-)
Can you give me a big fat "YES" that the innocent belief in a separate self was seen through?

Does it feel like there are some things, which need deeper looking at?
If not, then I would like to pose the final questions.

Re: Seeking for the guide
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
No there isn't and there wasn't.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
A thought, idea, nothing real. I can't find anything else than a thought about self. A concept about self. Like clouds in the sky, as permanent as them.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
More freedom. Thoughts come and go, feelings come and go. Writing happens, moving happens to no one, through no one.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
When I couldn't find permanent self during this conversation. But i find thoughts , emotions to come and go. Like I described, like clouds in the sky.
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Decision: life happens to life, just following, ideas come and go, moving happens without control. Is there a choice: seems like there is, but I don't know. I'm responsible about everything but at the same time about nothing. Life flows, I move with it, it moves through me..Free will, enerything is free, so there is no free will. Things comes and goes, nothing is mine, there is no me. Everything belongs to life and to no one at the same time..
6) Anything to add?
No
No there isn't and there wasn't.

Re: Seeking for the guide
How is "choice" directly experienced? Is there a choice: seems like there is, but I don't know.
Have a close look at it!!
What happens when there is a "choice" to be made.
Is there a someone or a something making a decision?
Thought likes to tell a story about that alongside experience.
But is that true?
