Hey Noob...
For one, what is the difference between "I" and no "I"? If a human attacks another human, does anger still arise? How is all suffering supposed to disappear?
"The Self" knows you're getting close and trying to distract you from seeing the truth, by throwing out questions and doubt...I'll answer these questions BUT,
I need you to focus and take this next excercise seriously to get to the core of this truth...
Between " I " and no " I "...The difference is living inside your head (with all the illusion of thought) or living life to it's fullest without being held back or clouded with thought...
Everyone has the ability to perform acts of horror to acts of amazing generosity and kindness...Liberation doesn't make someone emotionally steril..Just the ability to see that life lives itself and you can pick and choose your thoughts without being separate from life around you...
A large part of mental suffering is perception, and the indentifaction with thoughts that continuously builds, and feeds on the attention given to certain thoughts, where depression is a mental bitching and wishing that things are different than they are...where anger is short lived. Again perception and indentifaction with these thoughts are at the root of these conditions.
Okay, need you to focus on this next part and try and connect with inevitably of letting go...
There are two kinds of people...Those that achieve liberation during their lifetime, and the rest that will at the moment prior to their death...
Die before you die...
One of the most profound and humbling experiences one can have, is witnessing the death of another person...
Before I begin to explain this, I want to stress that in fact there's nothing to fear, nor does this refer to the contemplation of suicide in any way...call it a disclaimer if you wish, but if done properly it can aid in liberation and in the understanding and interpretation of death...
Alright, now please attempt this uninterrupted...pick a quite time and spot...( preferably in a bed.) Okay, now "project" your self in the future (Don't pretend...but visualize this being as real as possible.) and you're approaching death, and alone in this exercise. (Not in a horrible situation.) You've lived a full life, and accepted the fact death is imminent....Now think....your body is weakening...Your breathing is waning...Your mind is letting go... Tell me the rest....
Memento Mori... To live with death in front of us..
