The way the actual is investigated is through thought. So how would I go about investigating a self when I am believing that I am investigating? How can I know that investigating is happening without an a self?In the same way the content of the concept 'self' is real but not relating to anything actual. It just appears to, until investigation reveals it to have the same validity as a thought about Santa.
The self is temporary.A self doesn't fit with it and I don't think it is changing.
If you accept that mind (thoughts) are a function of the brain, then investigating happens with intent. Why say that there is a self involved when the I/me/self is clearly also a product of thought ?How can I know that investigating is happening without an a self?

If you think about it, it's like a "unneeded" habit that's gone unchecked throughout your life...and what we're doing here is finally dealing with the dysfunction and allocation of the thought process, once it's seen for what it is, then the redirecting happens...I find it weird that "I" keeps jumping to a different place lol.

This habit if you think about it, takes a lot of unnessesary mental energy to maintain, once you let go of everything that points toward the self a lot of weight naturally falls off your shoulders...

Not unless you want to get put in an insane asylum. But when i look at people now i don't see a self, just a conditioned organism with stories. (the same when i think about 'me') This leads to an outpouring of compassion.I can't just point to someone and say "you don't exist."
