What brings you to Liberation Unleashed?
4 years ago I first saw there was no person but believed it wasn't complete because there was still a sense of "me".
I've been reading gatecrashers and realised that the thought "but there is still a sense of me" has been the core misperception. I really appreciate your direct, clear approach.
What are you looking for? What do you expect from this?
I want to take advantage of your incredible service to be able to articulate what I perceive and get some clear reflection. Having studied alot of spiritual teachings, my language can still be a little esoteric and I've picked up a lot of ideas along the way so I basically want to "cut all the crap".
I expect a really honest dialogue with crystal clear reflection and an integration of the truth from a direct, logical, clear perspective. I'm ready to live without the idea of "me and my story".
What is your background in terms of seeking and inquiry?
I have been seeking for 20 years and have studied both non duality/ "enlightenment" teachings and "empowerment" teachings; - being the creator of my own reality, choosing my frequency and the law of attraction. Seeking has been my raison d'être :)
Main teachers have been Eckhart Tolle, Abraham Hicks, Osho, Prem Baba, Mooji, Adyashanti, Bashar and Bentinho Massaro.
I explored Advaita Vedanta quite deeply and had the realisation there was no "I" but with the stories of Mooji and Adyashanti having a "complete" awakening, I believed it wasn't complete and sat on my couch for 2 years "marinating" in the sense of "nothingness", believing it would dissolve the "I".
I see now how there was also a state of waiting for some kind of "grace" to clear out the person.
How ready are you to question your beliefs about who you are and see the truth no matter what?

Clear seeing
Re: Clear seeing
Hi Josephine,
My name is Philip and I would be happy to run through a few pointers on this if you like.
Just a little qualification about my approach in case there are any expectations. I very rarely instruct or prescribe practice or process in this enquiry....I will usually only unpack or attempt to disentangle what has been said as a way of pointing to something on the other side of the limitations of language. And anything I put forward can only be from my experience..
Cheers
Philip

Just in terms of a response to your first line here to kick things off.....Nothing about what appears in 'this' is wrong or a problem. The sense of 'me' referred to is just that, it maybe there and arising and trying to be heard for the rest of your days or it may dissipate, don't know. It is not a misperception in itself but the belief (an I say belief because it is something that is assumed to be true without direct verification) that it is something other or more than that is what we want you to look at in here and see if it is so.4 years ago I first saw there was no person but believed it wasn't complete because there was still a sense of "me".

Hi Philip,
Thank you for your reply. I was making it a problem. I see that the sense of self isn’t a problem, it's just a sensation. It doesn't matter whether it arises or not.
Warmest,
Josephine

Re: Clear seeing
Hey Josephine,
Thanks for the reply.....
There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve things, situations, pain, status and so on. The drive to survive is by far the strongest programming in this form. It is however just a different flavour of the same stuff. The seeing referred to is the realisation that no matter how incredible and meaningful and happy and sexy and scary is the movie full of explosions and placid lakes......it is only ever the screen.
Tell me some more about your experience in all this!
Cheers
Philip
Thanks for the reply.....
I'm going to pick on this....even calling something a "just a sensation" sort of dismisses really looking at it and seeing it. The sense of self is the sense of self. Calling it something is an attempt to nail it down or discount it when it really just is.It also is not what you thought it was.I see that the sense of self isn’t a problem, it's just a sensation.
Oh yes Josephine quite a collection of teachers there.....Once I attended a Gangaji satsang in Byron Bay (Australia) where there was a reverent silent pause of about 15minutes before Gangaji and her partner floated in, dressed in white and took their place on the raised stage to address a very quite and highly impressed audience of local old hippies and other seekers. I love all that, it creates a very special sense that what we are taking part in or that the vein of this or that teaching is above and beyond all the other mediocrity and mundanity outside. Which maybe true! However it has nothing to do with this enquiry, this enquiry requires no understanding, teaching or knowledge and is available always to all right here right now.I have been seeking for 20 years and have studied both non duality/ "enlightenment" teachings and "empowerment" teachings; - being the creator of my own reality, choosing my frequency and the law of attraction. Re: Clear seeing
Hi Philip,
Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate your time.
Absolutely, feel free to pick at any of my words. :)
I appreciate the total freedom in the statement “the sense of self is just the sense of self”.
I see how the “self” is a habit, a function of language, the “owner” of thoughts and the personal story. When I look for the “self” there is nothing there. It is an idea.
The simplicity is so obvious and recently there are alot of doubts appearing and self trying to make sense of things or own the seeing which I’m sure is par for the course.
I have really enjoyed this crazy “spiritual” journey and relate to your Gangaji story in that there has been a sense of taking part in something “bigger”/”more true”. As I used to say to mates, “who knows if any of this stuff is true but for me it beats going to pub every Friday night!”
That said I’m not interested in more teachings and teachers and I’m delving into this enquiry as I appreciate the directness, the direct experiencing of it.
Share some of my experience? I’m not sure what to share…
I’ve engaged in this forum as there’s a desire to articulate the seeing and clean up any misperceptions. I don’t feel like I can articulate it well, which I know is a story of mine but if you do have any more guiding questions that could assist me in verifying/clarifying, it feels like that is what is needed.
Thanks so much Philip!

Hey Josephine,
I must apologise as I seem to have missed your post the other day and it since was buried with the other activity. I will post tonight (Aust Time) as I have a busy work day today.
