Ty,
There was a great shift this morning!!!
I am so happy!!!!!!!! When you are ready, write how you feel.
The seeing of this truth was very strong today even though thoughts are playing games at work but it's ok. ... When thoughts seem to play games, just the simple recognition of THIS just THIS reveals that there is no me.
It defies explanation to a large extent!

Take note: Experiential confirmation is important. But when people first see, it is usually very unstable. You will have times of "losing it". States come and go. There is no way to recapture a state.

Thoughts will play games, but the important question is, what's true? Is there a self? The surer you get, and the more you see what thoughts are, the less you will be bothered when they do what they do. Looking is the only technique you need.

Of course by "you" I am referring to the body-mind.

Hi Steve,

There has been times of feeling like I am losing it but that is just the mind playing tricks. States have come and gone and the mind wants to try an replicate the exact situation when the shift happend. Last night it was more unsettling than tonight. Thoughts come in that have to do with things at work but the recognition of just THIS reconfirms that there is no seperate ME, there is just this...I will say that conversations with other people seem to take on less importance. Without being rude I here alot of blah blah blah...Thank you my friend for everything!!!

Ty,

No worries! And thank you my friend for allowing me to participate in the magic of passing this un-knowledge on. Don't worry about my previous questions unless you think they're still relevant.

Please write lots if you feel like doing so.

Now that you see what you are not, the mind will want to make sense out of it. That's fine, but recognize that concepts can never capture reality. I suggest you resist the temptation to conceptualize what you are, though. We don't want to replace a small limiting belief with a bigger one. Maybe you don't need to be anything.

We have a process where I ask you six questions and get the other guides to check my work. Then you can join the Aftercare group on Facebook, where you'll find like-minded bewildered people. Let me know when you're ready for that, or if not we can keep talking as long as you want.

Hi Steve,

I am going to let it settle in a little more then get back to you tomorrow. There is definatley no me here but I want to be 100% honest and it's hard to answer the questions at work. Talk to you tommorow.

Hi Ty!

Here they are...

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

6) Anything to add?

Hi Steve,

1) nope...

2) It begins with a thought that there is a ME somewhere. The feelings that there is a ME was very strong but now it is seen that they are just feelings.

3) The last couple days have been a little different. There have been times of just pure awareness where what is seen is just THIS...then there have been times where thoughts have been playing games but it is ok...
The difference is that it is known that all there is is just THIS. Whatever is going on is what's going on. If thoughts are heavy it's ok because there just thoughts.

4) the last bit that through me over was that what was being seen at this moment was IT...what was looking was unknown but it was known that a thought wasn't doing it. ONCE again...it was just THIS.

5) Intention, free will, choice and control are basically seen to be the brain or something absorbing years of experience and spitting them out as the different situations arrive. Life is going to do what it does and the learned reactions will react as they will but there is no ME anywhere to take credit. As weird as it is to say there is no one here to take credit or responsibility for anything.

6) there are definitely moments of feeling more settled than others but the simple looking always shows the obvious that there is only looking going on.

Tx

Thanks for that, Ty.

I've asked the other guides to take a look. There may be further questions to make sure I have covered everything.

Hi Ty,

The other guides are happy, so the formal guiding is finished, but I am more than happy to keep talking to you about it if there are any doubts or issues. I've sent you a private message. Click on "1 new message" at the top of the page to read it.

I highly recommend the Aftercare group. It's a really supportive environment. This can be really helpful to have because most of us don't have anyone they can really talk to about this stuff. Details in the private message.

It's been a real joy, and I'll see you on the flip side.
