HI Denny
Thanks for that.
So right now, can any real independent entity called 'Denny' be found? Please take a good look in actual firsthand sensed experience, and describe where 'he' is, anywhere where 'he' can actually be found (E) other than in thoughts (T).
Cheers
Mark

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hello Mark,
Denny resides in thought, in this thing called a body a mind that has it's own intelligence which requires no effort on my own to do what it does such as breathing, moving about, etc. When I look for her (I am female BTW) I feel, I see, I hear, I touch, I smell. I am that which is experienced but only when I perceive that I am. If there was no perception would I exist? To even attempt to answer that would be T. There is no answer to that other than this is unknown. Energy exist T, so would she exist as a part of all energetically. T-T-T. The Sun rises. I feel it on my skin, I see it's light. Through this sensory experience I feel myself. Would that not make me also the Sun? It was sensed.
You ask, "Can any real independent entity called Denny be found?" If I look ... there she is. Is she a real entity? Did I want her to be? She appeared here... earth... in physical form. Just as the body breathes by it's own intelligence, she appeared. Am I real? Am I an independent entity? Only if I think I am.

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
HI Denny
Has there ever truly been a separate entity called 'Denny'?
Please keep answers as direct as possible, and don't forget to report on whatever immediate sensations come up.
Cheers
Mark
And do you? Right now?Am I an independent entity? Only if I think I am.
What is it that is female? Is that you? (Direct experience please).(I am female BTW)

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
I will get back later today. Busy pressure washing house & deck & a few errands.
Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hello Mark,
No there is no direct experience of being female nor of an entity called Denny.
There are no sensations to report around this.

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
HI Denny,
Thanks for that. Let's check it out with a couple of practical exercises, always noticing what comes up in the firsthand now experience please.
A. Slowly stand up from where you are sitting. Walk across the floor 4 paces and then slowly return and sit down. As you do it please notice what is controlling any or that. Is there any individual in there controlling anything, or is it just happening?
B. Sitting down, look at your hand closely and then just wiggle your finger(s) on one hand, noticing carefully what is going on:-
1. Was any decision noticied on which hand to choose or which finger(s) to wiggle?
2. Did the finger(s) wiggle side to side, up or down, corner to corner? Was there a decider/chooser on which direction, and how many fingers to wiggle?
3. Was there a ‘Denny’, an ‘I’ as a doer, decider, controller in any of that?
4. Is there anything that ever happens in Life that is not just happening?
Again I would like to remind you to answer in direct experience, reporting the now sensations, and avoiding any philosophical commentary on why, 'inner meaning' etc.
Cheers
Mark

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hello Mark,
A: I know of no individual controlling my movements. Yes it just happens.
B: there was no decision on winch hand or finger/s to move or the direction they moved in
There was no Denny controlling any of it
No...Life Happens on it's own
Above is DE around the questions you presented.
The only sensation was a little sadness from a thought around #4. I will not comment on that as it would be placing inner meaning around the sensation.

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hi Denny,
Many thanks for that response and the honest report of feelings at the end. (Where and what exactly in the body were those sensations labelled as 'sadness'?) Looks as though a separate self is not being found in actual experience. Let's look further:-
Imagine for a moment a scene: one of a little mountain stream which is tumbling down a hillside gully, not far from its source. It has been raining and so the level is quite high. Consider in your mind's eye, if you can, how it flows to the right over a little rock (where, had the level been lower, it would probably have gone around the rock), then the flow goes to the left over a tree bow, and then slows a little in a broader place, before splashing over a small cascade into a pool, and so on down the mountain side. Does it choose any of its directions? Is it even really a separate entity different from the water deposited in it, the rocks, the depressions in the ground, the grass, weather conditions etc? Is it even the same entity moment by moment, or is it more the product of environmental conditions and water, like an an ever-changing pattern?
A. Now, consider: can you find anywhere where 'Denny' autonomously intervenes into life, choosing something that is not already the product of all the elements, that is not a part of the overall flow?
B. Now, in the same vain, please consider a regular decision made, eg what to wear in the morning, or what to eat for lunch, and describe to me what happens. There are environmental factors, there are colour preferences (but where did those come from: any autonomous intervention there perhaps?), practical issues (such as what is available), available time for preparation, purpose (eg need to fill up for the day, or to look hip and cool for that person!). etc etc. Where in there is an autonomous entity intervening in the flow of life? Can you find somewhere?
Cheers
Mark

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
it is unclear to me what you are saying here about finding a separate self. Does this exist? When there are feelings/sensations they are felt within the body. The sensations were felt in my chest in the area of the heart. It was just a feeling like any other feeling that may be experienced. Maybe you are saying Denny identified with the sensation...labeled it. Yet there was an openness felt with the sensation. It was not as if only sadness existed, it felt more encompassing than that, fuller. There was no lingering of the sensation felt. Maybe that sensation was evoked due to the thought of completely letting go, identifying with myself, personalizing it.Where and what exactly in the body were those sensations labelled as 'sadness'?) Looks as though a separate self is not being found in actual experience. Let's look further:-
A: is it possible to choose something that is not already the product of all the elements, the flow?
No..this is impossible.
B: What happens when deciding what to wear or eat? (this is quite funny) there is thought, thought of colors, textures, etc. There is looking in the fridge...considering taste, nutrition & health. No not really an independent entity. Just a movement.
Re: The Evolutionary Leap
HI Denny
Great.
It's looking as though the illusion of separation is seen through?
1. So can an independent entity called 'Denny' actually be found? Has there ever been one?
2. Should anything at all be any different from the way it is now?
3. Are there any sticking points?
Cheers
Mark
Great.
I'm not quite clear on what you're not quite clear on from my question. ;-) . All seems ok. Is there still a question there?it is unclear to me what you are saying here about finding a separate self. Does this exist?

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hello Mark,
All clear with that question. Yes there was no separate self experienced from the sensation felt.
1-no separate entity called Denny is found through sensation.
2-
3-Sticking points?
Not really any sticky points.
Sensations felt reading your post ... beautiful... connection... love... words to define sensations.

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
I am a member of the guiding groups on FB. I will spend some time looking at these. You will need to let me know the next step. Maybe you have to recommend me for consideration or to go to a blue member. I also read about guide helping you through the first encounters with others. Well... anyway... this is what I have read... you will need to speak to me of what is next.
Thank You,
Denny

Re: The Evolutionary Leap
Hi Denny,
First, if you could answer these Summary Questions, and then I will have some other guides look over and see whether they have any further questions for you (this is our normal proedure here). Please answer each of the questions from the actual firsthand now experience, rather than intellectually. Please answer all parts of the questions:-
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, how it starts and works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now (rather than from theories, or other people's teachings).
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Please try to describe the process as best you can, even if gropingly. Don't forget to give some practical examples from your everyday experience (even if there is no real 'you'!) What are you responsible for? (Don't forget to answer this last element).
6) Anything to add?
I look forward to hearing from you when you are ready.
Cheers
Mark.
PS Once all is clear I will have you invited to our postgate sections (and Facebook groups), and will be delighted to show you the ropes with becoming a guide with LU. x x
