We are trying to see the root of your suffering. You seem to have a problem with inability to stop dreaming, yet as you can see yourself, there is nobody to stop it, and even the desire to stop it is just another thought, a part of the dream itself. So is there anything at all to be done?

But that is normally a question for "further looking" stage that may happen on the LU Facebook group once you join it. This current topic is primarily to deal with the illusion of self.

We are now ready for the standard final questions. I will send them in the next reply. Please answer each of them, and in as much detail as you feel is necessary. This is for other guides to look at and confirm your understanding or help with further inquiry.

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

6) Anything to add?

No, there is not and never was an entity "me".

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

I see the illusion of a separate self as a thought process or movement of thought. It begins with thoughts that seem to be "mine." There are so many relentless thoughts and dreams and fantasies, all creating an illusion of a thinker/self. Also, thinking seems to instantly attach to all experience of physicality and sensation, so there a sense of physical separation.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

I was anxious before; I feel calm now. There is nothing earth shattering in this. It is as if I've always known, but refused to see.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

Nothing pushed me over. That doesn't make sense to me.

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

I don't know what makes things happen. Decision, intention, free will, choice, and control are all concepts, ideas.
The question about responsibility is baffling. There is no I, no me, and responsibility seems to include a concept of self within its concept of responding. There is certainly an ability to respond to anything that comes up. My neighbor needed help; we are next door to one another, and I helped. There is not much to that.

6) Anything to add?
Not now.
