Thank you. Would you say you are done with respect to our inquiry into 'self', that you see this clearly? Seeking comes out of a lack - is there any lack? If there does feel to be a lack, pierce into the question of whether 'lack' is a thing in itself, and could ever be the property of a fictional being.
Best wishes!
John

Re: could i have help please
Hi John,
I have to say that since our dialogue has started my practice has deepened considerably, discarding my false identity has made my 'awareness' much deeper, and although i don't have a word for it, i now have a deeper understanding of what (not who) i am, my path seems much clearer now.
If this is an end to our dialogue then thank you very much, i just wish you lived locally as i'm sure you have a lot more you could teach me :)
Thank you again John
There is no 'lack' John, i no longer have a 'self concept' thanks to you and your pointing, i have seen straight through 'self'. I understood it as a concept when i came to you through this wonderful site, but now, since you have made me look in certain ways, i see it as it is, a fabrication!Thank you. Re: could i have help please
Thank you - got a couple of questions from another guide for you:
What is the me he talks about?
To what did he look to see there isn't a Mike?
Best wishes,
John

Re: could i have help please
Hi John,
Mike
I am awareness! This is only a word and could change depending on your belief systemWhat is the me he talks about?
There was no looking, Mike doesn't show up anymoreTo what did he look to see there isn't a Mike?
Mike
Re: could i have help please
Another answer,
Mike
There is no 'me' only emptinessWhat is the me he talks about?
There is nowhere to lookTo what did he look to see there isn't a Mike?
Mike
Re: could i have help please
Whilst I know we are talking words here, but say that phrase: "I am awareness!" and look to see what the "I" points to.I am awareness! This is only a word and could change depending on your belief system
Thanks!

Hi John,
There is no 'I' only 'Rigpa'
Mike
Only words! I see what it points to John, a self, but believe me it is only words,Whilst I know we are talking words here, but say that phrase: "I am awareness!" and look to see what the "I" points to.

Hi Mike,
Apologies for delay - had a lot on.
How do you see seeking now?
How does that feel?
Has that shifted since we started our inquiry - could you share what has changed in that respect.
With kind thanks,
John

Re: could i have help please
Hi John,
Shortly after, life events changed, the wheel turned and i stopped my practice. I have been trying to get back there ever since, even though i didn't know what it was, or signified as i have always relied on books for tuition. I know that i am very close to this happening again, which explains my 'hunger'
It feels as if everything is coming together at the moment, the seeing through 'self' meditation and remaining present throughout the day all appear connected, or at least guiding me towards the same goal.
Hope some of that has made sense, expressing myself isn't a strong point of mine, but thank you John,
Mike
No need for apologies!Apologies for delay - had a lot on.
I can remain in 'Rigpa' for longer and longer with each passing day. Many years ago, although i did meditate with my eyes shut then, i came to a point where there was a great 'release' at the back of my neck, a huge feeling of euphoria accompanied by tears washed over me, this resulted in an experience of total 'nothingness' i had no sensation of body, mind or time, only of a tiny point of energy somewhere in front of me (that sounds a bit silly, but true!) i couldn't hold this for very long but the experience blew me away! How do you see seeking now?

Very, very, very exciting! How does that feel?
A lot has changed since our dialogue started, since seeing through my 'self' i have realized the importance of trying to remain in Rigpa, everything else feels wrong, i now know i have spent my life worrying about empty thoughts and the effect they would have on an invented 'character' (Mike) Although it will take time, I can sometimes see problems for what they are, just empty thoughts! and when i do, the problem seems unimportant and easier to deal with.Has that shifted since we started our inquiry - could you share what has changed in that respect.
