Oh and I can't really say I have any physical sensations associated with any beliefs as such.

Looking for a very patient guide!
Re: Looking for a very patient guide!
Good stuff, Paul - well done :)
- Does 'seeing' and 'looking' require thinking? Do we look at the sun, and then allow the mind to interpret what is being seen, or does something else happen? What function happens first?
- What does this being 'pissed off' consist of? Remembering Direct Experience, and the aspects of that, list what aspects might be making this 'pissed off' experience up.
What looks out of 'your' eyes? Get your index finger to point at 'your' face. Not using a mirror or a reflective surface, or memory, or any mind related function, what is there? Can you actually see 'your' face? Or is there nothing there? What do you 'see'?
Keep going, Paul! Resistance is only a feeling, right? Does that make it real? Only if we 'believe; it, maybe? :)
Catch you soon!

Just take another look at this and really 'see' what the answer are.Is the issue here that there's a belief telling you it should be different? If so, tell me how it should be different? What is it you want it to be like? If there is a preference to how it should be, then maybe that's causing the separation?
OK, good. It seems a deepening to 'seeing' has happened now :) But is the mind the same as the brain? How do you know? Can you see either? If not, what might that mean?Yes, at this moment, I would say 'I' am the mind. The mind is just a bunch of thoughts, memories and deep subconscious stuff and that would pretty much some 'me' up. Doesn't mean it's real of course, but this is where 'I' am right now. It's the fizzing, electrical activity of the brain. It quietens down when I sit still and don't think and it all but switches off when I'm in deep sleep.
- It is for everyone, until it isn't :) That isn't me being cryptic, it is me saying everyone gets caught up in their thinking. Remember what we learned in our phone chat, about Awareness/Life/God etc being 'before' thinking? So if it is 'before' thinking, can it be thought through? Or put another way, if Awareness happens before 'thinking' how can thinking be used as a tool? All my understanding is purely intellectual Tanya. I don't 'see' or 'know' any of this stuff at all. I'm in the exact same place I was 3 years ago and getting seriously pissed off. However, I love and appreciate your guidance Tanya; it gets me to stir up the waters and have a real good look at what's going on

Re: Looking for a very patient guide!
The mind is the product of a functioning brain. I can't see the mind or brain, but for the love of god don't tell me they don't exist, because that would just be silly. I'm not playing that game.
I don't understand why thinking can't be used as a tool.
I can't see my own face because an eye can't physically turn round and look at itself.
I don't understand these questions.
Hope your mam is ok. P.

Oops! Just spotted some more questions in web view!
No, we don't have to think when we see the sun (though that's probably due to familiarity).
The pissed off feeling is a deep anger and frustration, which at times, is really intense. This all seems like total bullshit. Why am I wasting my time with this crazy nonsense? That sort of thing
