Re: Guide
What it would be to know rather than conceptualise is to know without doubt that it is the truth rather than a story I'm making up & believing to be true
Re: Guide
Is this I AM a thing? Some-thing separated from the rest of life?If anything I'm in a strange place insofar there's no ME doing anything but I know that I AM, alive, aware & consciousness, I am something but with no apparent definition of what that is other than an acceptance of what IS showing up. There's seems to be nothing I need to do or can do other that try & enjoy the journey for what it is
How would you know what is true? What it would be to know rather than conceptualise is to know without doubt that it is the truth rather than a story I'm making up & believing to be true
What can you see in your experience that needs to know what is true?
If there wasn't a you before and there isn't one now, why should experience be other than what is?

Re: Guide
It No-thing. It just is. No separation
What is true is what is showing up & what isn't is what can isn't
Experience is experience, nothing more, nothing less

Ok, thank you.It No-thing. It just is. No separation
You told me that you're not sure about what seeing is. Let's check that out.Experience is experience, nothing more, nothing less
Can you describe what can you see going on in your experience right now?

None. I'm so grateful for your patience & your guidance :)
Re: Guide
That's good to know Robert! It's been a bumpy road from my side. I had the feeling from the start that you already saw what we point to and at the same time you seemed to be struggling to see! Any idea why??None. I'm so grateful for your patience & your guidance :)
Is it ok if experience seems to be the same as before?
Are you ready to answer LU pack of standard "final" questions? - they're a way to check if we missed something.

Re: Guide
It's funny although I could see it conceptually what was missing was an acceptance of what is. The mind was struggling with the idea of a No Me & the simplicity of the truth couldn't be seen. It now seems so simple & obvious I can't believe I've spent 30 years looking for what was always right here lol :)
It's ok fir experience to be the way it was before but the perspective is one of acceptance of what is & surrender of control.
Looking forward to the final questions :)

Re: Guide
Wonderful!
Here are the questions - don't forget to give examples from your experience in Q5.
You don't need to answer them all at once.
Have fun :)
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?

Re: Guide
1. There is no separate self in direct reality, anywhere, in any way, shape or form, ever
2. The illusion of a separate self is the belief that there is an ‘I’ ‘Me’ that’s controlling reality and responsible for doing anything & everything opposed to the acceptance that there’s no doer, doing anything
3. In the illusion there was no acceptance of how things were showing up, I was always trying to do something, to get somewhere, to achieve something, whereas now it’s an acceptance of what IS & the release of trying to control anything, just allowing
4. you, (my guide) said something quite innocuous which was “I have the impression that you already can see what is happening in your direct experience” & somehow it just clicked
5. Intention, free will, choice & control are all part of the illusion. Nothing makes these things happen, they just happen. What is, IS. The mind likes to think it’s in control but the truth is that the biggest of all illusions.
Intention, free will, choice & control are mind concepts, a belief in something that isn’t true.
Examples:
1. I am going to work today and I my intention is to do this today or in future. The mind wants to assume responsibility for planning and making things happen but the play is the play and it’s playing itself out regardless to the interference of the mind or what it wants or doesn’t want. There’s no free will, choice or control. The mind doesn’t realize or accept this
2. At work today I have a difficult decision to make, should I do one or other. There is no doer making the decision, decisions are made but the mind wants to own that choice believing it’s the decision maker and that’s the illusion
3. I want to manifest abundance and help the world. There is no ‘I’ to manifest anything or help anyone. There is no self-doing anything. There is only life expressing itself through life as life in the only the way it knows how and that’s the way IT IS.
4. What makes it happen and how it works, is not known, it just happens. In this reality now, the only thing that is real is what is happening, that's the reality of what is. I know that there's consciousness of which all things are connected.

Re: Guide
Hi Robert and thank you for your answers.
You mentioned the mind several times:
What is this mind?
Are you subtly replacing the identification with "self" with a identification with "mind"?

In your experience, can you find a thing called mind ?the mind wants to own that choice believing it’s the decision maker

Re: Guide
I cannot experience a mind. The mind is thought about a mind
I think I am replacing one for the other. Today I've had a multitude of questions whereas yesterday i was clear & some doubts & confusion have arisen.
I undestand there is no mind to be found in direct experience, thoughts are just arising but there's a witness of what's arising, a witness of it all which also cannot be seen. Therefore in direct experience no-thing exists. My confusion arises because something bigger appears to be in control & collectively shared. You've said previously that this is beyond this enquiry, I've therefore been hesitant in raising the question. Whether there is a consciousness that links all things & of which all is connected that is not within the confines of direct experience but instead "indirect experience' but potentially real all the same? Is this normal for doubts to set in?

Re: Guide
It's just mind minding. Attempting to give meaning, holding onto the illusion. It's not true, it's never been true & it never will be true. It's the mind doing the only thing it know how to do which is create stories
