The reality

Postby Dqkow » Tue Mar 11, 2025 7:06 pm

LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
For me, this means that there is no objective understanding of what “I” means in material reality. For example, thoughts and emotions are not me, but what observes them is

What are you looking for at LU?
I want to find the answer to my questions and free myself from identification with thoughts. I want to understand what I am, not just keep it on the level of knowledge. I am looking for peace, so that I no longer worry about enlightenment and finally achieve it

What do you expect from a guided conversation?
I want there to be more questions about personal representations of myself, rather than fundamental concepts of what I am, like: who observes the observer or: what perceives reality. I feel that even finding answers to these questions won’t stop me from identifying with the personality

What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I’ve had experience with meditation, watched a lot of videos about spiritual enlightenment, a lot in fact

On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 8

Hi Dqkow, i will guide you. Let's get to it..
I want to find the answer to my questions and free myself from identification with thoughts. I want to understand what I am, not just keep it on the level of knowledge. I am looking for peace, so that I no longer worry about enlightenment and finally achieve it
You’re not here to understand what you are.
You already are.
You’re here to see what you are not.

So let’s do that now.

> Stop reading.
> Right now, without moving, without preparing, without seeking any special state —
> Is there, in any way, shape, or form, an actual “you” experiencing this moment?

Not thoughts about you. Not a narrative.
Not your name, age, identity, history, or hopes.
Not “I think I am.”

I mean this directly, viscerally:

Look right now — where is the one who is looking?

Not the thought that says it’s looking.
Not the feeling of being a person.
I mean: can you find a separate, inherently existing “I” that’s doing anything at all?

☑ Seeing is happening.
☑ Sensations arise.
☑ Thoughts are heard.

But is there a “someone” doing that?

---

You said:

I want to find the answer to my questions and free myself from identification with thoughts.

So, tell me this:
What is a thought, without the belief that it refers to a “me”?

Watch a thought arise. Don’t push it away. Don’t try to stop it.
Let one come. Observe it like a passing cloud.

Now, here’s the kicker:
Where is the you that owns that thought?
Is it in the thought?
Is it watching the thought?

Or — is it just a thought that claims there is a “you”?

---

Forget peace. Forget enlightenment. Forget your spiritual goals.

The pursuit of peace is conflict.
The pursuit of awakening is sleep.

> This is already it.
There is no other moment.
There is no other you.
There is no finish line.

So, look again — and answer me only from experience, not concept:

🔍 Right now, is there any evidence of a separate “I” running the show?
Not what you think — what you see.

Tell me. Let’s go all the way.
