What brings you to Liberation Unleashed?:
To understand awareness, to uncover a way to the present, that I seem to be apart from. Most of my life I lived in the past and the future. I actually never understood a present moment existed. I would like to explore that.
What are you looking for? What do you expect from this?:
Nothing. I find it hard to come up with 200 characters because I believe that expectation leads to disappointment. Therefore my expectation does not exist. I am only here to gain whatever I can. Nothing
What is your background in terms of seeking and inquiry?:
I have done this before, as a christen I no longer share those beliefs.
How ready are you to question your beliefs about who you are and see the truth no matter what?: 10

Re: A gift
Hello and welcome to LU!
How may I address you here?
I'd gladly work with you here on this forum.
The primary focus of the inquiry on this forum is YOU.
Just because you believe that expectation leads to disappointment (which is true of course)- does that really, honestly, mean that you come here without expectations? Really?
Thanks! Warm regards from the Netherlands...

Ok. Are you aware of the purpose of this forum? Have you read this and this? If not, please do so. We want to make sure you know what it is you're getting into here. Although we will surely come to explore "the present moment" as you call it, that is NOT the primary focus of the inquiry we do here.To understand awareness, to uncover a way to the present, that I seem to be apart from. Most of my life I lived in the past and the future. I actually never understood a present moment existed. I would like to explore that.

Could you elaborate? What is your background in terms of seeking and inquiry?:
I have done this before, as a christen I no longer share those beliefs.

Re: A gift
Hello Damon,
I wish to experience truth in the most simplest way. I can have no expectation because I am not looking for anything.
I have traveled this road before defending my Christian beliefs. It was that defense that led me away from Christianity. Truth does need to defended.

Sorry Damon
Truth does "not", need to be defended.

Hello Tescher (shall I address you with your username?),
So, did you read the articles I linked in the previous post? I really want to make sure you understand the purpose and aim of this forum, so that we will not set ourselves up for frustration.
What would it mean to "experience truth"?
Is truth something that you are not experiencing now?
Can you elaborate?
You are looking for truth, aren't you?
What would it take for an experience to be considered as the truth?

That still sounds a bit vague, really.I can have no expectation because I am not looking for anything.

Truth is what is happening at any moment whether it can be seen or not!!What would it mean to "experience truth"?
Experiencing that truth, is to accept it, surrender to it. Yes, the truth is always being experienced, just not always accepted.
there is no need to look for the truth, experiencing it is always happening. That still sounds a bit vague, really.
although how we describe the truth, based on our conditioning, does not actually change it, it is perception that is altered!!
Re: A gift
therefore in some way, truth is "undefinable"
Re: A gift
not just undefinable but "unnecessary to define"
Re: A gift

are not necessary to experience truthaccepting or surrendering

Could you keep your answers in a single reply only, that makes it a bit easier to read...

Lets say that 2 people look at exactly the same thing and are asked to describe it. There explanation may differ but what they see does not, what they actually see is the truth, not there explanation of it.What does the word "truth"mean to you?

What do you expect of a guide here, of this conversation?
What are you looking for here?
Ok, that's a philosophically sound concept, now let's make it real. What is the truth you are looking for?Lets say that 2 people look at exactly the same thing and are asked to describe it. There explanation may differ but what they see does not, what they actually see is the truth.
