Just like that. No more contact?

Thank you so much. Words are inadequate to describe my gratitude and love,

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

Everything rises and falls away into emptiness!
Of course. All things are impermanent and insubstantial. At last I see what it means. It's so obvious. Even choice.
All things are by nature void! Suddenly it all makes sense. I feel like crying.

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

Drinking tea,
Another sip, then no more.
Just happens

Watching the birds in the early morning and delaying other things, happens on its own.
Driving very slowly or speeding up, changing gear, as you say,
It all happens in the present and on its own.

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

But what if a black pen is chosen to match the drawing on the card? Who chose it? The thought arose 'don't use the blue one, it'll look awful.

Or, what?

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

Dear Smudge

I think I was too optimistic. Further DP is required. Although I can't find a self, there is no way I can say what happens when choosing a blue or black pen. Perhaps this is why it seems so incredibly ordinary to me.

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

OK

So, a thought arose 'perhaps I haven't got it, after all', attached to fear. A quick search for a self happened and none was found, so the thought and the feeling disappeared. Joy arose.

A sharp pain in my hand when driving yesterday brought about the walk satin that it was unpleasant feeling ...

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

Every day living requires that decisions and choices are made to function in the world, like what to have for lunch, which plumber to employ, what plants to put in the garden. Intentions are made to be kind to someone for example, or to stop having that toasted cheese sandwich every time 'I' go to ...

Re: Looking for a Buddhist Guide

Dear Smudge

There is no separate myself,me or mine to be found. There never has been.

As soon as the illusive self 'perceives' a threat it polarises and here begins the story of itself to itself. This ongoing story is built upon ongoingly in an effort not to see through the fantasy. Annihilation ...
