Hello Pete,
Is mind real? Is mind a container of thoughts? Can mind do/think anything? What is mind? [/b]
Oh - "mind" is another thought.
It really is not real. It is that simple.
A thought cannot be a "container" for other thoughts.
"Mind" isn't real, so it can't think or do anything.
Another ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Hello Pete,
Here are my answers to the questions.
Is there a separate entity ‘self’, ‘me,’ ‘I’ at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever? [/b]
No, the separate entity of “me” “self” etc does not exist, can not exist, except as passing thoughts.
Explain in detail what the ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Hi Pete,
Here’s something I’ll share about the integration. I’ve been looking back at the questions, and my answers. Today, reading the parts about seeing no “I” in actions, and no “I” in choices and decisions, I remember that this is where things started to get “sticky.” And I feel it again- a ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Hello Pete,
A short note - I am still here. Basically integrating the fruits of the process. I had the experience of "stalling" - what I now realize is that I had the feeling/thought "I don't want this process to stop", and so, unaware, that allowed other thoughts that justified putting on the ...

Hi Pete,
I've been traveling the past couple of days, so my attention has been divided. But I'll be back tomorrow.

Re: Ready for guidance
Hi Pete,
I'm not ready to do this yet. I feel actually like I do need to go back and look at what we've done before. I don't feel like I'm "there." (I know that "there's no there, there" but... language...)
Love,
Belinda

Re: Ready for guidance
Hello Pete,
In direct experience:
Have you been able to find, a ‘self’ that is the ‘experiencer’?
No, in direct experience I can find no "self" that is the "experiencer." Experience happens.
Or a self that is the doer, or can control what happens?
In direct experience, no doing, no control ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Hello Pete,
With "you" revealed as a thought story, what remains?
What experiences?
What thinks
What does?
What is aware?
Experience. Its all experience. Nothing else.
Even the mind... just lets go.
So this is really just understanding. Huh. I guess this is the point where I see ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Hello Pete,
Basically, it is starting to seem as if the senses aren't reliable sources of truth. Because the senses are so quickly translated into BELIEFS!
But isn't there just seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and feeling. They are experience, which is truth. Surely it's only when persistent ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Does the body experience sensations and thought?
or
Is the "body" just another thought label for sensations (namely tactile & kinaesthetic)?
Okay. First thought is, of course the body experiences. Then, oh, sensations happen, just like sound/hearing/hearer happens. just like it "makes no sense ...

Re: Ready for guidance
Okay, thoughts and thinking
But all these things that 'you' say to 'yourself', where do those thoughts originate? When you look in direct experience, do they just pop up or does something else happen? If so, what is that?

Hi Pete,
If you can see no self anywhere in direct experience, what is the 'I' that is still here and what is the thinker that must be taught, convinced? If you can see a self in direct experience, please describe how it appears to you.

Hi Pete,
Just wanted to add that I feel like I'm answering at a level of thoughts - like I know the answer, know what it must be- but I don't feel satisfied that I'm really experiencing it! Therefore there's a tension, frustration, at sort of feeling like I'm going back and forth, but not piercing ...
